  1. Hello mate I think theres 3 current models 360 arcade (no hard drive) all white in colour 360 Pro (60gb hard drive) white with silver DVD tray 360 Elite (120Gb hard drive and HDMI cable/socket inc) all black If you want to go online then I'd advise getting the Pro model with the 60gb hard drive (although this doesn't nearly compare to the HD on the PS3 its more than adequate) I say this because you'll end up downloading free demos and trials etc and soon discover that a hard drive is a must (hence don't bother with the lowest in the range the 360 arcade). X box live and the main 360 menu has recently changed and you can now load games from CD and store them directly onto the Harddrive aswell (meant to be quieter) The most expensive model (elite) is not worth it unless you're a serious gamer (IMHO)
  2. probably not worth the hassle mate, you'll get tugged by police and get tickets for showing red light to front of vehicle, prob not best to draw attention to yourself. Think only light legally allowed to be shown from front of vehicle is white/amber/orange Sorry to dampen your enthusiasm !!
  3. Mate, what can I say,So so so so sorry to see this has happened to you, you must be absolutely livid. ditto to above comments re:police and insurance- I sincerely hope your insurance company don't mess you around with this. My mate has his car paint strippered by some jealous W*****S he had a full respray but within a year the paint had pickled again where the paint shop hadn't completely cleaned the bare metal prior to the respray. ( I Presume that a full respray would be warrantied on a car of your age - especially if its insurance approved repair. Once again I feel for you.
  4. bit of an odd question, i have a blobye, at night when my lights are on some of the switches aren't illuminated but I'm not sure if this is normal or the bulbs have gone in them?? 1.the rear fog light switch illuminates but the front fogs switch doesn't (the 'on' light illuminates though?!?!?!) 2.the headlamp aim switch does not illuminate but the setting (i.e.the number ) does illuminate 3.on the drivers side door (the electric windows pod) the only thing thats lit up is the 'auto' drivers side switch so ladies and gents could you please have a look at your bug/blob eyes to see if your interior does the same as mine or do I have to replace these duff switches/bulbs? any idea of costs involved / supplier ?? and before anyone asks YES it does matter, I like my cars to be 100% thanks in advance steve
  5. My dads an HGV owner driver, they had a load of break ins at his yard over the weekend, all the cabs were broken into, they all believe these scumbags were looking for the fuel cards - (makes sense- potentially a lot of moneys worth to be had) although thank god none of the drivers were daft enough to leave them in their cabs! what next????????
  6. thats interesting, mines a 54 plate 2004 too! I suppose its a characteristic then?? do you know what the dealers actually replaced??
  7. not sure mate, it seems most people include jap magazines suggest a panel filter for a wrx, don't think an induction kit offers a great deal of gain?? think there was an article posted on here recently about filtering capabilities of well known induction kits, made for interesting reading!
  8. I'm with Footman james £466 i'm 29 with 11 years NCB, they and Privellege were the only two companies that quoted less than a grand for me!! It seems some companies are great for some of us and astronomic for others, ring around, try gocompare.com and moneysupermarket.com ?? then call the companies that give you the best quotes as they often beat their internet quotes on the phone
  9. El scooby - not sure It definatley does it in fifth (sixth - I Wish its a WRX!!!!) I'll give it a go in some other gears if it does it only in one gear do you think its a transmission/gearbox poblem??? Padtwo- it definatley sounds like its from the wheels/engine area I don't think its wind noise personally but now you've said that I'll be pressing all the trim as I drive along ike a madman! If its happened on at least two of your blobeyes then I suppose it could be re-assuring that its just a characteristic, although it could be a common fault too! Doh
  10. hi all, my blobeye wrx seems to have a whining noise at exactly 68 mph, no more no less, seems to be coming from the wheels/driveshafts at the front anyone had this before? I'm guessing its not the wheel bearings as its only happening at this speed???? i've got a warranty so if its something serious I'll get it sorted ASAP!!!! Cheers in advance Steve
