Hi i have a v4 subaru sti and the downpipe is rotten i have a used downpipe to fit on but its off a v 1-2 wrx and it has on lamda sensor or no hole for one , would it be ok to drill a hole and fit my lamda sensor or would i have any problems doing this also the cat on fire cable has a diffrent connector ,but im sure i dont have to have that conected anyway , hope someone can help me with my querry thanks scott
  2. No the sensor has a very small nut more like 10mm iv dne a bit ov reaseach and i think this pipe only fits early v1 to v2 which had the lamda sensor fitted to the headers so looks like its no good ,thanks for the reply

  4. So would i be ok to leave the top sensor unpluged will i get any warning lights on dash etc

The pipe fitted to my car has 2 ports a large 1 on top near the turbo and a smaller 1 at the bottom off the cat ,but the new 1 i want to fit just has the small 1 at the bottom ,as regards to the the mouth off the pipe im not sure how to post pics as im using my mobil due to laptop not working but the mouth on the new 1 has a round hole 2 and half incher in diameter wer as others iv seen have a much larger oval shape called open mouth thanks

Got a 2nd hand downpipe today for my v4 sti i have2 problems 1st the cat i got came off a wrx and has got 1 lamda sensor mine has 2 would it be ok to fit it with just the 1 ,the 2nd thing i notice it the mouth ov the pipe tha bolts to the turbo has a small round hole but all the other pipes iv seen has an open mouth design and as iv not taken mine off yet im not sure wich i have any ideas anybody as i asumed all the downpipe cats for the classics were the same thanks

Hi i got a v4 sti with a a blitz nur spec decat center and back box but my downpipe av just blown a hole init and was thinking ov replacing it with a decat downpipe will it be ok as im running standard ecu and map or do you have to get it remaped if so il just put on a standard cat on as dont fancy paying a £1000+ for a ecu and map thanks
  8. just fitted a new rad to my 1997 sti v4 iv purchesed some oat antifreeze by comma xtream g40 i went for this as its silicate free and aparently jap cars need silicate free stuff ,but iv just found out that oat "organic acid technology" antifreeze can damage seals and gaskets in some cars anyone know if its safe to use this in my car any advice please
  9. i had a magnex fitted to my last classic it was quiet but still gave it that burble got it from roger clerk motorsport
  10. not 100% sure but i think the further away the two numbers are from each other the faster the oil breaks down eg a 0w 40 will break down faster than a 10w 40 etc hope this helps
  11. mobil 1 15 50 for the last 8 years in my classic sti and my ra without any probs just changed to silkoline pro r 15 50 , with the silkoline im getting better oil pressure and find its using less oil if any at all
  12. got a new radiator to fit and im trying to get hold of some genuine subaru coolant does anyone know were to buy it online iv looked everywere cant seem to find it as my nearest subaru dealer is about an hours drive away any help thanks
