  1. Chris, get them black mate and then some of these: http://www.alloygator.co.uk/ so you can switch colours as and when
  2. Current issue of TG has 6 pages of step by step instruction
  3. You're more than welcome to look at routes mate As most of the Lechlade meets have been after work, run outs will have to be reasonably short. Big ones (25-40 miles) work well on a Sunday aftrnoon (in my experience anyway)
  4. Inlet manifold. You can't see the exhaust manifold what with it being under the car
  5. I kept mine standard. Removed the spoiler. Wanted to add fog covers - go for the sleek look - make the most of the gorgeous lines of what is a rather lovely car
  6. It's your car and its entirely down to you. All I'll say is if you do go down that route, get a turbo bonnet, not a stick on
  7. Think that finding a dictionary might be more appropriate There's an o in diarrhoea
  8. For animation 24fps is the standard - I use 48fps. PAL recording is either 25 or 50fps and gopro's are 60fps IIRC Would recommend around 50fps and get yourself a decent floating mount to avoid judder from the car's movement
  9. Does it matter? Surely everyone has different reasons for using the forum? Some post once to say hi and then go back to lurking, some post regularly but specifically Subaru related and some see it as a social environment for chat and banter. It's all things to all men and that's the beauty of a forum - Facebook, twitter et al have to be one or the other - a forum is whatever you make of it. My one small point would be to make more use of the search tool and look in the suggestions thread before making suggestions - it's hard for us not to come across as negative when we have to say "tried that", "suggested that last year", "we did that but nobody used it" etc Personally I think that as a member, it's your forum to be used as you wish (within reason, for the benefit of other members). Everyone will have an opinion but as long as you're doing what you feel is in the best interest of the wider community, why should it matter how frequently or infrequently you post? After all, the forum is only one small part of the club.
  10. Jesus dude! When did that happen?!? Hope you're okay and get well soon
  11. From Rob Ostle on Twitter... @Robostle: @Subaru_Drivers "check the joint that goes onto the lower arm. It's a pillowball type which starts to creek & groan." Hope that helps
  12. On the wrx the 04 springs will fit. 2005 STi springs are different though I think
  13. Berkshire yes? Welcome aboard
  14. We certainly do - mainly Frenchy posting in her spare time though. It's not a feed of website or forum content.
  15. I love it! Thinks it's a VERY brave styling move from Subaru and on the face of it, it's paid off. Obviously the bigger issue is availability and whether it reaches production looking the same. Based on the spy pics flying around t'internet, it's similar but not got the same aggressive poise
  16. Taken at tonight's SE regional meet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLlIvCPxQ34
  17. Guys, can you keep suggestions to the website/forum suggestions section of the forum please - they'll likely be missed if they're scattered across national regions. Granted more members posting from IOM is relevant lol (but the rest are non-region specific)
  18. I once called a local dealer for a quote for 4 wheel alignment and an MOT (having previously used them for other services) to be greeted with a ridiculous quote (£290ish IIRC) so I phoned around - turns out there's only one place locally that does the alignment and the dealer outsourced to them - £114 and the dealer was charging the customer for their staff taking the car to/from the other garage. The new garage threw in the MOT with the alignment and I never went back to the dealer. It was later, after I started using a fantastic little garage in the sticks that I found that said dealer didn't do the MOTs either - they sent them there! AFAIK the dealer's master tech is now working for that small garage in the sticks and he's been replaced at the dealership with a clueless muppet. Says it all really
  19. Tony, we can only apologise for the lack of advance warning. I had understood there was supposed to be an email go out ahead of nominations from the club, just as there was before the voting began but it appears that wasn't the case. Again, apologies and we'll strive to make sure this doesn't happen again in future.
  20. Best thing about this club (for me) is the people who make events such as the above happen. Without need for praise or recognition. I think we need to recognise that more Hat's off to Kim, Rach and co for making the national shows such a success time after time.
  21. Tell your mum, dad and your second Uncle Vlad... thanks people of Leith, Scotland - I'm going to be singing this for days now
  22. That's a shame dude but keep in touch eh! Swindon's only 20 mins away, so you'll have to let me know when you're free, we'll grab a swift half
  23. I've opted out of tracking with all ad providers as well as blocking all but essential cookies - as a result I get the default 40+ dating ads lol
