ive been to have a look at a scooby today an r reg it was all perfect the whole car is immaculate he took it for a test drive and when we looked at the engine bay there was a bit of light, gray smoke coming from the left side below the manifold area? not thick just a little bit he told us its been standing in the garage for 4 weeks just want to check with you guys if its a fault or just a bit of smoke from general blobs of oil brakes etc? the smoke stopped after about 3-5 mins and didnt do it again he said he checked after and it hadnt smoked again can you guys let me know what you think

do you have an earthing problem? that cuts off power to everything! just check that the earth is on bare metal not paint and that it is secure?

i dont think a poxy 1.0 corsa will beat a scoob lol if up against another scoob then fair enough it would be worth a try as thats an actual challenge but you also have to remember that them white cars with the blue lights on the top like to race too and 99.9% of the time you'll find they win! then you get banned for speding dangerous driving blah blah blah and that 1.0 corsa pootles past you laughing lol keep it to the track

though i dont have a scoob yet i know where your coming from with this! the best thing to do is drive like normal so rather than all the chavs saying how they "wasted you" doin 34 in a 30 they will all wonder HOW FAST CAN THAT ACTUALLY GO" dont give them the satisfaction they havent got ££££ worth of car to write off to prove there faster we know it yet we have brains they dont hence the reason they have to drive inside your boot to get you to go that little bit faster also dont forget to wave for there rubbish camera phone videos as there overtaking you ( you will be on every phone in that town within the hour lol ) dont argue with an idiot! they will only drag you down to there level and beat you with there intelligence!

how much is your insurance and who are you with? the best ive got is 1700 tpft with e car inurance

thanks guys! yeah ill keep on top of it and i dont do anything else and have no other bills to pay so if i save i should have enough to keep it happy! i also have another car anyway so if anything goes wrong on it i can get it done and still drive work and back in the other:)

ive found the perfect one! and im 500 short on the cash!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its been looked after and has full sh all mot certs and reciepts gutted i cant save the extra 500 as i owe my dad for my insurance and when ive paid that shel be gone and the insurance was grat i think no no claims as ive been on my dads insurance at 21 2.o turbo prodrive 1700 premium @ 170 per month at the moment i pay it yearly but 170 wont hurt a month as i have no other bills to pay and i earn far more than that in a week ill keep my fingers crossed and hope she doesnt sell anytime soon (i have hope lol)

ive been looking around for a while but not found any so far that havent been killed or have 100,000+ miles im trying to find a standard 2.0i t awd round about 97 ish that kind of style anyway but all of them are either import, wrx or sti which i wont get insured on any of them i just want your average 2 lite turbo scooby without all the mods or extras as these are what stop me from getting realistic quotes! nearly got the money together for one though im saving about 3.5k then ill go looking

thanks guys! im looking for a model around 97 i like that style as for insurance for a standard 2000 awd turbo the best i can get is 2700 BUT i dont have a house nor do i have any bills to pay other than internet, petrol and the normals like tax mot i live with my parents so i dont pay board or any household bills so i think ill just go ahead and get one (hopefully in good condition im useless with cars!) and then keep insuring it high if i dont have any accidents then it should drop the down side is im on my dads at the mo so no no claims also i had a bump and the person i hit claimed for an accident i didnt do but i cant prove her wrong i slid on ice in a carpark to prove the minimal damage i did my car had no damage whatsoever the other car parked with no one in dented the side door a bit then someone else slipped on the ice but loads faster writing her car off difference being my car is red the other that hit her was white but she wasnt having it GOOD JOB I TOOK PHOTOS BEFORE THE OTHER ONE HIT HER but at the end of the day a claim is a claim which is now messing me up on my scoob! hopefully should be looking to get one in the next 4 weeks just get a bit more money together so i have a better choice

thanks guys and the car for sale will be uninsurable for me but looks awesome! thats the kind of one i want but not tuned or a wrx what would you guys recommend? is there a standard 2.0 turbo without it being sport, wrx and all of those just a simple scooby 2 litre turbo? thanks for postin guys!

what kind did you get at 21? i got a quote from compare the market and they gave me one at £808 but thats with my dad as the main driver yeah im kinda after a turbo version as ive always wanted some form oof turbo car and i love scoobies. the guy that posted the car on ebay never stated anywhere that it was a turbo just that it was standard but it has the bonnet scoop but no pic of inside as he intercooler would have gave it away! i cant get insured on anything else higher spec as it will just break the bank i want one now because i dont have my own house and have hardly any bills to pay so if i get it now i can have a sweet car that i will enjoy driving and not one that you have to push off at junctions and corners like a pregnant hippo
