My WRX needs a 60,000m service. It's 5 years old and has a full Subaru service history to date. The thing is, money's tight and I'm tempted to go to the local garage for a service, and save myself £200 or so (Subaru have quoted £484 all inc., whereas my local place is more like £280). I'm a woman driver and I don't race it or do track days or anything that exciting, and I'm averaging about 10,000m a year since buying it.
Obviously I'm concerned that it won't sell on as well eventually if I can't boast a full Subaru service history, and I guess no Subaru dealership would touch it to sell on as a used car. So I thought I'd ask you lot what you think? For example, if you were buying a 7 year old car and you came across 2 that were identical except for their service history, how much more would you be happy to pay for the one that had the full Subaru service history over 7 years as opposed to the one that had 4 years with Subaru, then 3 from a local garage?
All advice is most welcome!
Thanks
Sarah
