  1. I've only been using Menzerna stuff in the last 9 months and really like it,will pick up some Blackfire stuff on my next jaunt to Aberdeen,i've heard it's the best for bringing the shine out on WR Blue scoobs Cheers for all the comments guys.
  2. Hi mate, Used Menzerna Intensive Polish first then Meguiars Carnauba wax ,was wanting to try some Blackfire stuff but my local car accessory shop doesn't stock it
  3. Cheers Al, Had Waynes (sczscoob) younger brother round yesterday having a look,so fingers crossed, told wayne there's a case of beer in it for him if he can twist his brothers arm
  4. The sun came out so decided to give the car it's first proper clean/polish/wax,heres some pics - pity the light was fading and my camera isn't the best! Old and New. Thinking about getting the wheels on the bugeye powder-coated 'dark grey ' colour ,as two are slightly lighter than the others - does anyone on here know of someone decent to do it around the morayshire /aberdeeshire area and approx cost?
  5. Crackin pics mate
  6. Hi mate, I changed the big washer round(my excuse is i had a hangover) to try and prevent it popping out so i'll see how they go,if they don't last i'll revert back to fitting the standard ones i think, cheers for the info. Tommo
  7. Hi, Did someone recommend fitting the KCL 32's to you and does yours look like mine in the picture with stress on the bushes or do they fit better with the whiteline Arb? Cheers for the info
  8. Hi mate, That means i now have to spend another £80 to get it right
  9. Took them off and re-fitted with the car on the deck, swapped the big washer round and tightened up the nuts- looks pretty much the same as before.
  10. Hi mate, These are the ones i asked Duncan at Hypertech about (KLC32)and he said they are the correct ones, the other option being KCL39,supposidly Whiteline are discontinuing making the KCL 32 but intend taking them back on the market again
  11. Cheers everyone for the advice, think i'll try re-fitting them with the car on the ground and see if it makes any difference.Bought some rear whiteline droplinks as well ,so they should be easier to get to and fit.
  12. I think your right enough about the washer ,don't think it'll make a difference though. So it looks like i've wasted £80 on these and would have been better putting on 'stock ones'.
  13. The old ones had bearings, but spoke to Duncan at Hypertech and they're are 2 types of whiteline droplinks i could have used ,1 with bearings and the ones in the picture.I chose these as the bearing ones tend to squeak and get noisy after time.
  14. Thats the way they're fitted in the instructions Euan, would it matter what side the washers go?
  15. Thats the way they're fitted in the instructions Euan.
  16. They're KLC 30 droplinks converted to KLC 32'S by Whiteline,i checked with Hypertech before ordering and the said these are the correct alloy ones for a bugeye(with alloy arms)
  17. This is the drivers side;
  18. Will put up a pic to make it easier to see what i'm on about.
  19. Is it worth slackening the top bolt with the car wieght on the droplink to see if it makes any difference to the bush?
  20. Got some Whiteline alloy front droplinks last week and went about fitting them yesterday- just wondering if i did it correctly, heres what i done; 1; Removed wheel for easier access as i haven't got ramps 2;Put spare jack under alloy arm to help align new bolt 3; Removed old droplink 4; Fitted new droplink ,but had to pull Arb towards myself to be able to get the washer/nut on 5; Tighten up bolts 6; Put wheel back on. Repeated same for other side. Took the car for a run and the 'knocking' had gone, looked under the car when i returned and noticed because i had to pull on the Arb's to allow the washer/nut to go on, the bushes are now quite stretched,is this ok or should i have slackened the Arb bolts before fitting the droplinks? Any advice appreciated.
  21. Cheers mate, but the look a bit cheap & nasty, ordered some whiteline ones instead.
  22. Just spoke to Duncan at Hypertech and he confirmed i can fit the KLC32 alloy ones, thanks for the help
  23. Thanks Eurosti, I got the part numbers from Scooyparts but my question is can i use the 'alloy droplink' with alloy arms or does it have to be the bearing type? Cheers.
  24. There is a point - they're knocking ! Just wondered if i can definately fit the non bearing type .
  25. Can anyone confirm this question as i need to order these today -Does it need to be the front droplinks with the bearings due to having 'alloy arms' on my 2002 Sti ?
