  1. Blimey, at that price its worth taking out 2 policies. Ouch. Still, its better than 3 grand+. You have done well not to have a prang - I did in my first couple of years driving, so did most of my mates. Iv got 9 yrs ncb and was still quoted £1500 by a few companies. Some companies just dont want your business and rather than saying sod off they just give you a stupid quote. Have you tried Sheila's Wheels?
  2. Is that a polite way of saying "NO!"? First time I've really looked on there - some quality photos and no mistake.
  3. Cheers, any chance of you taking them to the bhp show, im not on the stand but may go as a normal punter to watch you lot ruin a perfectly good set of tyres.
  4. Id be more than happy to relieve you of them.
  5. DIDNT spot scoobytibs at tesco car park last Wednesday.
  6. Know that one, he goes to my gym. Love those cars.
  7. I didnt notice any between my std one and the green cotton one, but i suppose the 0.5bhp extra it probably gave me would be hard to spot. Might swap them around tomorrow, you never know!
  8. Anyone used one or know if they are any good? Got one free with my exhaust, I already have a green cotton one that im using at the moment.
  9. Did the other car notice it was donating itself to the road?
  10. shouldnt laugh really.
  11. I dont know what time you start work in the morning but yes, your neighbours will hate you. Iv got an afterburner and just about getting away with it at 5 in the morning, getting wry smiles from the people near me. Any louder and they would be chasing me with pickaxes down the street. On a good note it does sounds the absolute nuts IMO and I certainly wouldnt change back, I look forward to driving my car everyday.
  12. I think he originally wanted "gonorrhea" but he was being charged by the letter.
  13. Hello to the young lady at the top of blue bell hill, just coming off the m-way in a classic
  14. This happened to my mate, idiot kids sodding about. Either way i think you are ok
  15. Absolutely no problem mate, around evenings all week, pm me. Glad your keeping it too.
  16. What area is that? If i dont like the food can i blame you?
  17. Got my new exhaust on the car on Monday, finally went with Afterburner Votex backbox centre section and cat pipe, love the sound, bit louder than i thought it would be and at 5 this morning when i left for work someone had turned the volume up on it and it sounded like the world was ending, so ASBO on its way then. Glad I didnt go for the blitz! The boy racer in me also decided to get a forge BOV, which was a mistake as i now drive everywhere on boost which is doing nowt for my petrol consumption. Ah well, the novelty will wear off soon
  18. Real men wear PINK
  19. Fair enough, sod you then! Get a kebab instead
  20. Bengal Brasserie, in chatham/rochester. Free car park about 100yds up the road.
  21. Yep, thats where i keep mine. I also have an oboe hanging from the rear view mirror, and a banjo in the boot when i really want people to hear me coming.
  22. Get a kazoo and lean out of the window. Range in price from about dodgy £30 ones on ebay that are best avoided to about £250 for a HKS SSQ. Do nowt performance wise, and your std one is recirculating, only VTA's (vent to atmosphere) make the noise.
  23. Actually, forget the ic piping, I forgot you have PPP, so i believe yours already uprated.
  24. Repeated absence, explained or otherwise,is grounds for a sacking. But in your case it does seem very harsh, as a 4 week sickness period still only counts as one sickness period, they same as being sick for one day. I suspect something else is happening here...
  25. If you keep to a 2.5" system then you can swap the centre cat in and it should pass. 2.5" is good for about 350bhp, and to be honest anymore than that and you will be budgeting for a new gearbox and possibly a 2.5 block after your one explodes. Also take into account the logistics - when you decat the up pipe you may as well do the headers to cut down on labour and if you want them ported they will need to be sent off, so the car is off the road for about a week. Then when you have done all you want to do it will need mapping sharpish so you need to know when the mapper is able to do it and work around this and when you plan to get all the work done. I have been looking for a vf34 for a while for mine and have just about given up, so now I have decided to get a turbo off Andy F, they are quality items and reasonable BUT for most turbos he does you will need to send yours back in exchange. He does do new ones but you will pay more for it and if you want the turbo before sending yours off a £200 deposit is payable. Uprated fuel pumps are easy to get, about £80 new, so no problems there, and sti injectors come up for sale when sti owners want to upgrade, just keep an eye out. You can get them new, but obviously more expensive. You wont need a front mount intercooler, an sti one if perfectly adequate, but if you get one secondhand bear in mind you will want the undertray and you will also need to replace the intercooler y pipe as yours will probably burst when its being mapped. Good luck mate, you are doing what i plan to do, the financial side of it was looking reasonable untill i had to pay for a holiday to las vegas. And remember the money side is only part of it, a lot of time will need to be spent too. And if you manage to get a vf34 be prepared for me hunting you down.......
