You got any scoobs now bobby or are you enjoying fwd these days?
Chris
My Scooby days are over Chris, enjoyed them for many years but because of cost of ownership & depreciation there are better ways to through away money, I plan to retire in the next few years so my next car Will probs be a 911
-
Looks good Peter always thought they looked stunning in black or white
-
Really suits the car it's looking fair braw keep up the good work, missing my RA big time
-
Emm Gus.Did you not just say how reliable your car was??

Had a great day nice to catch up with the usual suspects banter was top notch as usual, thanx for letting me sneak in & park on the end of your stand.
Got a mercy call from Gus on the way home his bottom radiator hose gave up the ghost, managed to help him out with a wee running repair & topped back up with 8 litres of Bonnybridges finest Aqua lol
-
Congrats Keira You and Kenny will do a sterling job must try and get over to join you for a wee lol
-
Always used Skidz for my tyres, good guy's & will do you a decent deal

right the car has got to go in and get a respray on the passenger side. was done last year under warranty by subaru, the company that are done it are doin it free off charge as its only been a year so this aint the issue im happy with that.
The dilema i have is that as the graphics are now on the car they will have to come off the 2 doors on that side, the company wont pay to replace them which i understand, however i dont know wether to get replacement ones or take the rest off?? so how hard are they likely to be to get off?? will it damage the paint work? it all depends how much the replacements will be as there are more pressing things on the car for money to be spent on i.e discs n pads.
cheers jebus
Just heat them up using a hairdryer & they come off no problemo

The GB is overpriced & remember road tax will be increasing by around £25 every year, loads of nice 2.0l STi's out there if you can get rid of your own privately
-
Hey Chris welcome back mate, just as i'm leaving my old scoob goes on Tuesday
-
Thanks Paul look forward too it.
Yes Bobby all bolted on and working fab!
No fling this year Bob?
No Kev would love to mate but would have to take 37.5 hrs holiday as i'm nightshift weekend, it would be too much for the old RA and as soon as i've transferred Mag's plate it will be up for sale, don't plan on buying another subaru any time in the near future as I'm busy with other projects
-
Nice one Kev did you get all your shiney bits fitted then?

As Paul said it's not just this forum it's quiet all over, one of the reasons may be cost of ownership & dwindling numbers although for £20 I think the club is good value for money.
I am one of the fortunate few that can afford it but I binned one of my subaru's for that reason, after 16 years of subaru ownership, tax, ins, petrol etc enough is enough, I have also noticed this year that as things are getting tighter for people they are picking and choosing what events they attend which can only be expected, It's cost me a couple of grand to keep the old RA ticking over this year and I still love getting behind the wheel and going for a blast even though it can't be as often as I'd like. Hopefully things will pick up, it's not all bad considering that the club nearly died last year and it has been turned around and even has a positive bank balance.

Eeep! That's horrid news.. As above, was it fault or arson?
Dunno about anyone else but I've heard of a good handful of cars that have gone up in flames this year! Not just scoobs!
Read and article the other day suggesting the "eco friendly" additives they are sticking into the fuels is rotting the fuel lines from the inside out so you don't know there's a problem until the lines break, and the EU is planning on increasing the mixture so it will be worse!
Almost tempted to switch back to VPower from T99 just to be safe..
My mate was on holiday in the states for three weeks, his BMW spontaneously combusted whilst parked up in the driveway for no apparent reason, did quite a bit of damage to the house too
-
Looks good I think it finishes it off really well
-
Good to hear you got it away eventually Gordon they are getting very expensive to keep on the road these day's, still keeping the old one running but it will end up going sometime as well, hope to catch up with you sometime soon tell Heather were asking for her
