Although... How loud are NurSpec R's with the bung in place? Are they much quieter and comfortable on motorways or are they still intrusive?

Thanks for info, think I'll go for complete decat system and filter, but I'm not after big power as this is my daily drive and our family car. A remap would be somethind I'd do in time, but if not necessary for safety once decatted then I won't rush to do it. Having had a NurSpec R on my (now long sold) Skyline I think I'll go for something a little more conservative - whislt I may appreciate the roar and flames, I don't think my family will (especially on long motorway drives) and I'm sure my dog won't! Hello, I've just bought a 1998 Impreza Turbo wagon (well, put deposit down on it anyway...). Firstly, does anyone know a good specialist to get the car serviced at in the West Midlands / Hereford area? Secondly, I am looking at fitting a full system to it - something like Hayward & Scott or Roger Clarke so as not too loud - but am unsure about decatting it. Will it NEED to be remapped with the cat removed or only to realise full benefits? I have read a few things about engine management lights coming on etc, but is this only for later cars? Any help or advice on either of these greatly appreciated!
