  1. Thanks for the feedback, think best bet is to just try sell it i know for a fact in the flesh people would be happy with the car. Chassis are solid and rot free with just light rust were the grit and evrydat road**** ahve scratched components. I should ahve got it waxoiled so thats my fault. Looks way worse in the pics than it actually is. Also its minging underneath its very muddy roads round these parts. A light sandblast/airblast would bring it up nice. I got quoted less than £250 for the bodywork so shows it aint that tatty but i just like to point it aww oot. I agree the auto no evryones taste but i personally think for the wagon its great. 2 tyres. Nothing else. Hoestly think id not get £2200 for it?? laltly spotted several way worse exaples going for more. but i do appricaite evryones opinion. But tis true hard to tell by pics.
  2. Yip im bloody useless as explaing things at best o times. how about this?? I bought the car 2006 with full MOT. I had it serviced at Subaru in penecuik not long after buying it. So all belts changed, oils done in engine, gearbox and diffs. New fuel filter and air filter. New spark plugs. New pads front and rear. This service done at 76000km and i stopped useing it at 78999km. Only thing mentioned was rear shocks but other garages have not picked up on a problem and no knocking so ??. Had to use it breifly from December of 2007- present. So i got its MOT and it flew through with only advice being rear tyres worn. Bad points: As mentioned the bodywork does need tidying in places in the form of scrapes on the corner of the rear bumper a small scrape on the front beside the fog lamp and variouse small scratches. Few small dents on the roof were the roof box was befor. Passenger front wing a bit bumpy were a trolley wacked it in a carpark.Windscreen wiper mounts are a bit tatty lookign as black has worn off. One of the alloys i scraped by mistake. Rear tyres are worn but legal. Snapped the aireal of as i stupidy forgot to unscrew it befor putting car cover on. Passenger side rocker cover sometimes gives off a puff of smoke but only after long drives.Original stereo installed so does not work over here and 2 speakers missing at back. Still reads in kilometers and limited to 112mph. Good point: Full Mot and Tax. Clifford conceot 650 alarm. Standard apart from stainless Kakimoto rear box and centre. has those headlamp amplifiers fitted. Service history and recent major service. Drives straight and true with no knocks or bangs. Pulls very well with no hesitation. Brakes are strong with no pulling.Handbrake fine. All electrics fine. Good condition interior. Spare alloys and unused space saver wheel in boot with original toolkit. Wagon so very usable. I used the car only to take my dogs for walks otherwise it was unused more so when i got the landrover. What im worried about is asking to much cause i know it has the little issues like scratches and scrapes and yea 2 tyres. But i ahve seen some thrashed exaples going for silly money and their odviously ex boyracer mobiles. Id be happy with £2200 but i just dont know the market. in your opinion am i asking to much or should i push for more? The car was imported in 2005. Also im realy bad for making a good sales pitch advert out of the above info what should i type etc. Thanks Scott
  3. Hi Just after some feedback on my car. Been toying with the idea of selling her then not then yes etc hard to let go kinda thing. I do love the car but it really is getting no use these days. Anyhoo i have been trying a few adds here and there and have settled on selling it for £2200 or there abouts. It gona be sold with the cover it lives under aswell as spare matching alloys. Has full service history and the milage can be proven through the receipts. Its not perfect there are carpark marks etc but no rust and mechanicaly spot on. Im just unsure of prices as they seem to be all over the shot. I also had the idea to strip it and sel it that way. Any advice would be greatly appriciated. Be sorry to see it go but just cant justify the car when i sue my landrover and van for evrything else leaving the poor car sitting for weeks on end. Its got a full MOT and Tax and does not need a service this was done at Suabru. Here is a link to photobucket were i ahve taken some pics today. Cheers in advance. http://s149.photobucket.com/albums/s49/boner69_album/
  4. Hi Me car got the odd few marks here and there nothing major and all on the bumpers. Most from when it was imported but the rest from me accidently hitting the car with me landrover. I was going to remove both bumpers get them fully resprayed. rest of the car is generally fine. Been about 10 years since i got a bodyshop to do work for me so i aint got a clue who is decent and who aint gona ask the earth in prices. Any reccomendations near to edinburgh. Want the car waxoiled aswell. Cheers in advance.
  5. Oi i been doing that lat copule o years. Run a vana nd a 4x4 aswell so servacing and mot times not including tax can be right expensive. On a good note ahd the subaru oot for a run today and she deffiantly seems to be running very well, the battery was all but dead but charged it up nicly on the run i gave her. No lncoks bangs or pops and got the fog light adviced by the garage as its an import. Fingers crossed booked in for tomorow so see what happens. Cheers anyways
  6. Hi Guys Used to go to the old forum did not realise till today had to resign up so thought id better get that sorted oot. Used to be called Boner and my Subaru is a Jap import Wagon. Was going to get rid of the car too buy a landrover but bought that anyways and kept the car as i just cant sell it now i have one so its sat under a car cover only to be started and drove backwards and forwards in my drive for the last 6 months or so. I have it booked into PDC motors for its MOT and just wondering anyhting i should look out for as im going to give it a good going over this weekend. Evrything seems fine from what i can tell but i aint no expert. Really worried about all these cars that fail on emmsions but nothing of that mentioned when it got maajor service at subaru in penecuik last year and covered less than 500 miles since then. Really cant afford a bad failure as tax time of year so im short as it is. Any info or advice would be greatly appriciated. Cheers
