it makes me sick.
honestly my stomach dropped when I saw it sold for £345 and the charity is only getting 40%.
the worse thing is that Grant and I are still working our ar$es off on this,
the event is still "live" for us, and will be until we hand all the money we've raised to the McRae family.
this has taken over our lives for the past 12 months and we have spent our own money, from our own pocket, paying for things to make it happen.
For some guy to keep 60% himself is disgusting.
whats even more nauseous is I had to make companies like Roger Clark Motorsport, Scoobyclinic and even Subaru UK promise and swear blind that they can only have a display stand at Warwick on the proviso that THEY DO NOT MAKE ANY MONEY from our event
- it is a fundraising event for Colin, not a trade show.
this eBayer has just sucked all our hard work down the drain and is the ONLY ONE to profit from this for very little effort (so far).
yes I know the print is theirs to sell, but this is how I feel and its sucks
and yes I also know that there may be a spate of other folk selling their print and it makes me think "whats the point in doing this."
I dont want to go online anymore.
the Gathering has become too personal for me.
even with the credit crunch & all that kinda milarky i'd sooner see myself go without food & fuel than contimplate selling my print. i see it every night i fall asleep & every morning when i wake up. it's framed nicely up on my bedroom wall & is a reminder of one of the best weekends of my life.
i can imagine it being really disheartening imy but for everyone of these b@wbags selling theirs off for a profit on ebay theirs loads of people who appreciate all your & grants time & commitment to an amzing event.

heres my very few pics. my video to big for youtube so i'll edited & a link up eventually.

quality weekend
cheers g.mac & grant for good banter through out the day & for the company driving up the road.
it's my first road trip when my wipers froze, this was somewhat confusing for a short period of time
waved off g.mac & grant just before paisley & carried on for the last 70 miles off the 1000miles + trip. was met off loch lomand side at tarbet by two of strathclydes finest. it was a random stop check very brief chat & off we went. i think they were looking for boozed drivers.
had a few reaction testing moments with deer & ice after before home. now i've had a healthy sleep & a munch that could feed a small army. watched the rallying on dave & now it's top gear time to top off a great weekend
-
Heading down with Rosie tomorrow night for the whole rally
nice one. heres hoping it's a good'un

If I'm not mistaken, generally, Subaru wheels have an offset of ET52 on WRX's, and STi's need an ET48 to clear the Brembos, so the ET45 is pushing the rim to the outer edge. There are a few specialist wheel dealers who can safely reduce the offset by a safe margin where sufficient material is available on the wheel. I would suggest approx 6mm would make them ideal.
cheers for the info thats handy to know but i'm going to stick with my 17". do you know what car ET45 should fit ?
-
What a shame, wheels looked fantastic. I'm surprised you got rubbing though, must unusual
I'm sure Buffalo Bill will snap them up!
yeah bit of a bummer. they did look the mutts. tho i'm glad i've got my 17" back on now, prefer the drive with them on
-
The offset should be stamped inside the wheel somewhere. It will say something like ET48. What width of tyre is fitted to the wheel?
ET45, tires are dunlop sp sport maxx, 225/40/18.
-
offset ? i kinda know what this is but i don't know what my off set was.
yeah fast one they scrubbed more so at the back. i have eibach pro springs on but not changed my shocks.
my new tires are scrubbed a bit. didn't want it to ware through the protective stuff round my arches.
-
well i had my wheels on for a coulple of weeks they looked the biz but their back off now. although they make the car feel a tad more stable. they scrubbed and made me feel noticably slower. i dinny like the scrubbing.
would still love to have black wheels with a yellow rim but it'll need to be 17". i'm on the hunt for replacement & probably going to sell the 18".

Can't seem to find mudflaps for a wagon anywhere. Tried the usual suspects, Revolution, Scoobyworld etc.
They only seem to cater for saloons. Looking for a set for my Bro in law's MY05 wrx wagon PPP.
Cheers
i got my mud flaps from ebay for my 54 plate wagon. here's the link to the sellers shop. good communication with the guy & they arrived in a few days. hope this helps
just took some quick pics with my phone whilst it was getting dark so quality not the best.

was anyone else caught up in the chaos round hillington/m8 west today. came out from working at the southern general & took me nearly 3 hours to do my 1hour 20minish journey home doon the water. it was an at least 6 car pile up on m8, well their was a gubbed looking landrover in the middle of the debrit. all cars seemed to have taken a good bashing. anyway hope no one was to badly hurt.
rant over
-
fookin ell thats horrific damage !
i definately think all my major organs would have spontaniously combusted with rage if that'd been me ! both my cars are about 20feet/a short down hill roll from my front door, scooby blocked in by my civic of course.
