  1. well to be honest I have to work on Sunday morning, but hopefully I will get finished around 2pm.. I believe Barty is going to attend so I might give him a ring to get an update on your location and then catch up with you all where ever you've made it to.
  2. OK, im going to ask the noob question, What exactly does a meet involve? I cant help but think its another reason to draw the attention of those who like to point guns, and not the paintball type :-) Must admit for this reason I've tended to stay away, but as a scooby fan, well I'm hooked, so on the face of it would enjoy it.
  3. thanks, that sound great as I've not received much info back yet. Thou it is early days yet looking forward to his comments

  5. Hi All, I don't post much at all, just tend to read the forums, and tonight spotted an alarming trend in conversations regarding shocks and the Gb270, some of the conversations going back sometime. I have a Gb270 so am wondering what I should be looking out for, are there clear symptoms when a shock fails, some people have implied leaks, 'odd handling' and knocks. To be honest I'm not very mechanical so I'm a little unsure. Is there anyone who can advise what I should look out for. My GB is only used at the weekend and has done only around 3k miles, but that doesnt seem to be much of a saving grace with the failure rate some people are seeing. Really appreciate your advise with this.
  6. Mike, I might be interested, depending on tyres and stuff. Could you repost the link, its to your local machine. Cheers MiNT
  7. Police forced to train dogs using indian snake charming technique with empty water bottle after blowing funding on impreza pursuit cars
  8. i see this has sparked a debate. I'd like to add, whether you are for or against the use of cameras and speed checks really isnt the point. As mentioned in the BBC article, the Police are given clear guide lines on the use of mobile hand held units. Its clear these guidelines were not being followed. If they are prepared to bend the rules there, where else are they doing it? Again as stressed in the piece. Its worth considering.
  9. To be honest it freaked the wife a lttle... :-) Yes that would be me tho the old IOMRC has been hacked and i don't use the new one as it seems really quiet. Given you are reading IOMRC do you have a buggy or car?
  10. BBC News item from North Yorks on Police practise with regards cameras Thought you might like to see this from the beeb today
  11. Technically this would be the 3rd Subaru myself and wife have had. I've just partex'd my '06 2.5XTn Forester in for the GB270. Yes I know it wasn't old, but I couldnt resist. Partly because after buying the Forester we got the Black WRX which you mentioned. Thats the wifes. Driving that somehow took the fun away from the Forrester. Then with the dogs dinner of the '08 I decided I wanted a little piece of the magic for myself before Subaru killed the icon! Hopefully the GB will be a car to keep. Been a massive fan of Subaru and SWRT for years mind. OH, and thanks all for the welcome.
  12. hey, just thought I'd say hello as I've just joined the forum. Also thought maybe you like to see my GB270. You should see it knocking around the island.
