i ve had my 51 plate wrx wagon for about 9 months.
since i ve had it i ve just put normal unleaded fuel in it.
when driving the car somtimes it seemed to have more power than other times i drove it.
i took the car to garage to have car put on rolling road for dsiagnostics tests.
when i arrived i was chatting to garage owner, and he asked me what fuel i was running it on. he said i wouldnt bother with rolling road n that i was infact putting wrong fuel in it. he advised me that the best fuel to use was v power.
so from then on i either used v power or bp ultimate.
anyway three months down the line and my cars in garage. i ve got melted pistons, cracked head n bottom ends propper fuxxxd.
£3000 worth of work on none upgrade work really sucks.
the garage said that putting wrong fuel in for so long would cause engine to run so hot that the above damage would be done.
has anyone else had or heard of same problems b4, and can anyone please advise on fuel so that i dont go and screw another engine
