  1. Mmmmmm. Not sure what to do now.

Will probably wait 'till warrenty runs out and go from there.Unless the stealers decide to offer ppp at a "special" price. :)

    Thanks for the replies guys.

    Colin

  2. Morning all.I have had my my06 spec D for a few months now and have reached THAT point.

Can anyone tell me what effect on mpg the ppp has?

I know its not the cheapest way to go but would like to keep my warrenty intact.

The car is my daily runner,so mpg is something i have to think about.

    Cheers,

    Colin.

  3. FINALLY got insurance cheque through last week after over 2 months!!

Picked up new car yesterday..........its a?????????

    Double Zero....dont give it away!

Didn't 00 already give it away in another thread the other day? I hope he did or scooby ownership is causing some weird hallucinations/visions! :icon_rendeer:

  4. ha! all these guys in the central area........must be all the ones that dont wave back to a sonic blue classic when they drive through Cumbernauld. :P

And here's me thinkin only stolen scoobs ended up in 'nauld ;)

Jokin m8,if i see you the lights will flash :D:( and BOTH hands will wave!!

  5. Think i saw you the other night at the cross i way heading up Glasgow rd oh and the guy in the RB320 never waves back . :(

    Stevie

That was me at the cross m8.By the time i saw you, you had already gone through the lights.I don't know the chap very well but he does stop to talk if he happens to visit while im oot washing mine.

Your car sounds good btw. :D

  6. Hi all i thought i would say hi, just picked up a scooby last sat GB270 and loving it...

Had a focus st-2 before the scooby was time for a change. And thought it was my last chance to get the nice ones for i don't really like the look of the new ones.

    p

Looking forward to seeing another scoob around our wee toon.Enjoy the car m8 and get some pictures up!! :D

  7. No worries - it was £55 incl. the vat and took about 1.5 hours. I've not done that many miles since the settings were done but, I think it is definitely worth doing this to a standard car - my STi was still standard and I did not want to wear the outside of the front tyres like I have done with my last couple of STi's. I noticed an immediate difference - the car just feels more 'connected' to the road especially on the 'twisties.'

There are other threads aswell where others have had this done and noticed the improvement.

    Den

Cheers Den.This is my 1st STi and the learning curve is steep!!

  8. Yes, always. The Subaru Standard set-up is poor IMHO. It runs with slightly positive camber hence the outside of your tyres become "feathered" and grip/feel isnt the best.

Well worth spending £55 to get it right. :D

    Gus

PS the Forester will be in to dunc next tuesday to get its Geo done (amongst a few other things  )

Cheers Gus,new tyres tomorrow then to hypertech asap. :D

  9. Took the Scoob to Hypertech on Saturday to get the geometry set-up with Fast Road settings

Dealer had given a try setting the geometry to reduce wear on outside edge of front tyres - bzzzzzzzz WRONG ANSWER!!

Geometry was well out and now I know why I was understeering on right hand bends.

Thanks to Dunc & Dunc Junior at Hypertech, it's all sorted. Great service and very genuine, helpful folk :D

    What a difference :D

Wish I'd had this done on previous Scoobs now :D

    Den

If you don't mind me asking, how much did the set-up cost? Is it worth doing to a standard car?

    Cheers,

    Colin.
