  1. Saw blue scooby sat in traffic trying to get on M1 at 5pm rush hour, i was 2 cars behind you in my wee silver fiesta! Once on that amazing slip road getting onto the bit before m1/m10, you whizzed round! i was jealous as hell! then was behind you on m10, and then i lost ya at the round about at the end! Tried my hardest to remember the no plate but was a long day that day!
  2. wow how helpful were you!!! would u like to be my new finacial advisor!?
  3. already tried kieth michaels, and was quoted higher, also the man said they wont insure anyone under the age of 20 or do a multi car policy! we want a multicar policy and need to insure my 18 yr old! im awaiting a quote from A-Plan t x
  4. the quote Admiral gave us for the renewal was before i hit the post and are now charging £12 extra for the 2 weeks leading up to the renewal! confusing or what!!! dont know what they will put it up to as yet, but yesterday i did a quote on line and put in the info on me hitting the car and it came back £577, my son is driving a renault clio grande, 1.2 but its his own insurance policy as mick (oh) didnt want our no claims to go on his as we have (had) 12 years protected no claims against the scooby insurance! does that make sense? t x
  5. Just about to renew the insurance on the scoob and been quoted £609 from Admiral, is this about right for me and mick him being 36 and driving for 19 years and me 34 and been driving for nearly 3 years. When i looked on compare.com Admiral did come back being the cheapest but cheaper than our renewal price £577 not much in it i know but every little helps at the mo! especially when you have to fork out £1800 for ur sons insurance and £350 excess for car repairs! ooooh its all a nightmare!!! i do sometimes wish i had a little smart car! That way id have seen the post i hit while reversing! stupid post! p.s if anyone knows anywhere better to go for insurance please feel free to let me know!!! thanks tracy x

  11. Thanks for ur kind words! just so gutted he felt so bad, and couldnt have spoke to someone! why people do this stuff i have no idea! all i can say is they must think at the time there is no other way! so bad to see his friends hurting, i didnt really know his partner, but had met his little girl many times! so so sad for them!!
  12. Just thought i'd pop a post up, not if anyone here knew Tom Brewer, he was from Dunstable but lived in MK , he took his own life last friday, absolutly sad and shocking news to all who knew him! Tom drove a black 53 plate Wrx Sti, he lived in Emerson Valley , but had recently spilt from his parnter , Tom had a little girl aged 4 named Ellie, our thoughts go out to his family and close friends at the tragic time. Such a sad loss of a true gentleman who had a heart of gold, and a most amazing sense of humour!
  13. happy birthday to you, hope ur having a super day! if ur at home reading this then you should be out getting lashed!! now get going .... go on get down the pub! im sure they will let u in now ur 18! i'l have a pint of lager please!!! love t xx
  14. Kent isnt to far from MK , wanna come up!!? LOL i'l make ya dinner!!! Im gonna give a few of the tips a try! , we dont have any tree's to close to the house so i dont think its that, but intresting what BMWhere says, about the vibrations his uncle had, our back garden backs onto a major road which lots of big lorrys from Bedford come along to get into Mk, and we get quite a lot of vibration in the house from that! My other theory was that we are living on a giant ant hill! i know this sound obsurd! but.... in our hall way which is realy quite long, (i wish i had a bit of paper to draw a diagram on here) imagine hallway 21ft by 6ft 9, then a bit of that goes off to the right takes u down to the living room , along what i would call the threshold, under the carpet is a MASSIVE crack in the floor, year before last we had an ant infestation, and Mick pulled up the carpet and they all came out the crack and up the walls! Luckerly for me i wasnt here! thankgod id have freaked!!!! managed to control them a bit last summer, but still had quite a few coming in the house, and out on our back lawn thousands of the buggers! treated once a week with powder and other potions! but i have joked saying we live on an ant hill! and beneath us are thousands of ant farms! one day our house will dissapear and we'l be taken underground by ants!!! Oh by the way we do have coving , and artexed ceilings, all very 80's, and intresting what Hairy says that his house is 20 years old and not far from mine, and this is 26 years approx, MK is doomed!!!!! again thanks everyone for ur advice! tracy xx
  15. wow u have been very helpful indeed!! if your from anywhere near milton keynes, feel free to pop by and take a look! LOL yes im sure the cracks outside are in the mortar, all cracks inside seem to be near the top of the walls, and as u say may just need filling. will pass on advice to the one who has to earn the hard earned pennies and see what he says! many thanks! tracy x
  16. Just after a little advice from anyone that my knows about this stuff, Since moving into our house in 2006, we have noticed cracks appearing in different locations in the house and on the outside of the house, some are just hair line cracks and im sure maybe just need filling, but others we're not to sure about. When we moved in ,my brother who is a bricklayer said it was prob just a bit of movement, and my Grandad who was a general foreman said he had seen this happen with brickwork in the passed , where bricks are laid , then left for a period of time , then work continues some days or weeks later, you sometimes get cracking later on, and in a diagonal line, which is how bricklayers tend to build, and is how the cracks are on the outside. However we have cracks appearing inside the house also. Anyway after almost 3 years we have decided its high time to start some work on this very 80's style house and get it looking a little more 2009!! and we dont want to go spending a fortune if the house is falling down, Would it be worth a call to the insurance company or just get a surveyor to come round and take a look, If anyone out there can help i would be most grateful!!! tracy x

  20. Blimy , much has been said in my short time away! sorry been in bed for a few days with flu. Right i appreciate all the comments. Firstly i'd like to say i was very angry the other night at the PM i had recieved, but that has now been sorted. Secondly i can understand that the Bucks section is for the Aylesbury/BSC meets only,i've already been down that road in the past and had that explained, so i stopped posting there! but when i then mention something in th southern section and then get drilled for that also, there comes a point where you just want to give up! Yes i know there are some meets over at the hockey stadium here, which may i point out, a few of the SIDC members attend, as when they or i have been there has been no trouble, but i am trying to get a meet up and running once a month doing different activities, which may include a pub lunch a game of bowling or whatever....... If i get slammed once more for posting a meet and not being a full paid member then i think it best i dont return! In my opinion MATTER CLOSED i started this thread therefore i would lik to finish it! END OF!!!!!!!! tracy .
  21. may i also point out that when i tried to arrange a meet for milton keynes on the bucks section i was told to post in southern section, so i do that , and now thats wrong! whoever has a problem with me, i wish they would have the balls to say it to me !
  22. thats what i thought , but i seem to be targeted everytime i post anything to do with a meet on this site! even if its not me that has tried to do the arranging! maybe im just very disliked! i have recieved mail from others in the past, and information passed on to me, as my posts seem to be such an issue! if people should have to be paid up members on here to say anything then someone who ever owns this site should just make it it a paid forum only! as im getting fed up with the agro! its pathetic!
  23. I recieved some mail today from someone who is clearly not happy at the fact of people posting anything to do with meets on sidc if you are not a fully paid member! If you are just trying to get the community together and enjoy the company of your fellow scooby friends then surely one is doing nothing wrong! what are your thought on this matter ? should we be fully paid members to post meets or anything for that matter? or should folk be able to post up if what they feel what they are doing is a good thing!? all comments welcome!
