Thanks for your replys but now i am confused, i have spoken to a preperatrion place and they have told me that i cant remap a classic anyway. Also that i dont need to wrap the pipes as it wont cause any damage. Ill keep the revs down untill im sure. Thanks again for your comments, paul

Thanks for the reply lee, ill get some more advice and get some prices for the heat wrap. Not to sure about the re map, might put the old down pipe back on, thanks again

new member today needs some info if poss. Ive got a classic import and have just fitted a new decat down pipe and a new up pipe as well. i have been told that i should get the car re mapped as it could co**** problems. Also, should the new pipes be heat wrapped?
