  1. copied this from Colins web site........all details here : Tuesday 25th September 2007 Announcement The McRae family have decided on the following arrangements. Service of Celebration Arrangements have now been put in place regarding the Service of Celebration for the lives of Colin and Johnny. Location: High Street, Lanark. Date: Sunday 30th September 2007. Time: 4 pm. The Service will be relayed onto big screens strategically situated on the High Street in Lanark, which will be closed to traffic for the duration. Please do not try to access St. Nicholas Church as this has been reserved for family, friends and associates only. Please also note that there will be a normal Sunday Service in the Church from 11am until Noon and we ask that you do not gather in this vicinity until after this time. Please note that Strathclyde Police have asked us to inform all those attending that the sole designated car parking facility will be based at the Lanark Agricultural Centre, Hyndford Road, Lanark, ML11 9AX. Refreshments and toilet facilities will be available at the Agricultural Centre. There will be diversions and road closures in operation and therefore the car parks can only be accessed by the following routes. From the NORTH. M74 southbound to Junction 11 / B7078 southbound past Happendon Services to turn left at the round-about joining the A70 northbound / continue on this road until Hyndford Bridge and turn left towards Lanark on the A73 and follow the signs to the Car Parks and park as directed by the Stewards. From the SOUTH. M74 northbound to Junction 13 / Abington / A702 northbound / A73 northbound to Hyndford Bridge and turn right towards Lanark on the A73 and follow the signs to the Car Parks and park as directed by the Stewards. There will be a courtesy shuttle bus service laid on to transport people from the Agricultural Centre to the vicinity of the High Street. In view of the numbers expected to attend, The Police have emphasised that people leave must leave PLENTY of time to ensure that that they can arrive and access the High Street before the commencement of the Service
  2. Never thought that my first post on SIDC would be due to such a sad event as this. Having met and spoken to Colin a few times, it's gonna take a whole lot more than work to stop me from attending. Colin has been a personal idol of mine for well over a decade, and to hear that both his life and that of his son, Johnny, were lost in such a tragedy just overpowered me with grief. Our thoughts here are with Colin, Johnny, Ben Porcelli and Graeme Duncan..........Rest In Peace. 1/ Ally-b 2/ Richie Cross 3/Mac 4/Squiggle 5/Bogie 6/H4AFY 7/Gus the Bus (hopefully I'll be able to get a half day) 8/Neill54 9/Scooby Princess and Edmondo (if i can get time off) 10/nippySweeties 11/IainC (depending on babysitters and day off work... second part far easier to organise than the first) 12/st3ph3n 13/Jcscoob 14/ALI_ 15/STi_Bandit 16/Andy 17/Scooba 18/Thefastone 19/the blue dragon(had muy name up but it dissappeared ) 20/ Wilky ( Need to ride shotgun, the merc doesnt count) 21/ Frank C (got the day off) 22/ JamesM (Depending on getting time off work) 23- Spaceman 24-CJK 25/ Dougie C (if anyone can give me a lift that will be running by Penicuik) 26 - Dtabbit77(also dependant if I can get the half day) 27/ Ed-209 (confirmed day off) 28 DAZ3658 (not back down in Englandshire till october) 29 J10 DLY 30 Paul_P1(on call but will come along anyway) 31.
