  1. Aye i got her to order up a set of BC's last night for me so they will be gettin delivered to the yard durin the week, you can keep yer eyes off them don! Booked in for fittin a week on sat. When i spoke to the guy at hypertech yesterday he said about other whiteline bits and bobs worth fitting at the same time so it may well be what your talkin bout cusco_kid. Im still a bit clueless about all this so i'll rely on them to sort me out with a good set up. Due to the miles i do he thinks i can go for a good fast set up So will the set up dictate the ride height or can you adjust the hight and still adjust the dampening?
  2. Had a quick chat on the fone to the guy at hypertech, booked in for two weeks today to fit the coilovers and other bits and peices. Just waitin on the mrs to come home to break the news and get on her ebay acc! Will be fun.. Think i will go for the BC's. If theyre reccomended, and cheaper than the teins then why not.
  3. Lookin at 600-700 quid budget. Would just like the opinions about other set ups before i jump into buyin tein just because i know the brand..
  4. Nah, definatly be going for coilovers... What else is worth a go other than tein?
  5. So after reading up on this rear end knock on my 06 scooby, ive decided to just bit the bullet and get a shiney set of coilovers. Just looking for some advice as what ones to go for, where i can get them, and how much i should be paying for them? Also how much am i looking at to have them fitted and set up properly? And where would be good to go for that? Appologies for all the questions, but i kno you guys are the best to ask. Cheers, Mark.
  6. Looks spot on, im after one of these too..
  7. Tight here too. Wasnt looking to be spending that kind of money just now, im more than happy with it stock. Allthough at high speed on the bends, it is a bit twitchy which i dont like at all. Would a set of Tein superstreets be the answer to both problems? Not cheap at 735quid delivered though, then fitting... My warrrenty expired only weeks ago
  8. So theyre gubbed n i need new rear shocks, or replace with allround coilovers?
  9. Just lookin for some advice about my 06 WRX. Noticed the last week or so at low speeds and bumpy roads there is a noticeable clunk from the bacvk left of the car. I emptyd the boot today of everything including the jack just incase, but im still hearing it. any ideas what this could be or if its a common fault? Is this a chance for me to get some new uprated goodies? Ive seen alot about bushes, drop links, geometry set ups but tbh i dont kno anything about the suspension set ups. Any chances of a wee explanation of this stuff and what would be a good list of things to do for a noticeable difference, without having to change the shocks? Cheers guys
  10. Bumpstips on my hawkeye wrx, are they just stuck on, or is there holes? On or off?
  11. Its a bold move mate i couldnt give up the comfy seats. Are they alot lighter, or was it for the looks?
  12. Poor show on the lack of insurance etc.. out of order. I got my first turbo wagon when i was 19. the only way i could insure it was TPFT which i paid 2500 for. Quite gutted about that since i bought the car from halleys paid in full, and wrote it off on ice around a year later. Next up i got my current car WRX Hawkeye from halleys also, this time fullycomp insured (ofcourse after last time, learned my lesson) I Paid 1500 for that last year after just turning 21 and this year 1300 at 22. Not a cheap hobby at all. but you can see why they werent insured. They dont deserve to drive cars like these, i had to work my a*** right off to pay all this. Even now, what i pay out on my car is around the same price a month as my morgage!!
  13. After a wee run the other day i got thinking about some of the best and worst run in's with other cars ive had, be it quartermile or some twisty B roads. So whats the best car anyone has shown up... And what cars have left the scoobys for dust?? Own up! Best: Corvette with my present car (couldnt beleive it) Worst: Audi RS4 Estate pumping my classic turbo wagon
  14. Ofcourse! Thanks for all the positive comments everyone, im over the moon with the car! The splitter and wheels have just transformed it for me. Thinking about a vortex spoiler next, and im looking for the rear underside diffuser from the sti. Anyone know where i can get these? Once the looks are done with i think a brake and handling upgrade. Then some more power! Unfortunatly i had to fork out for a new pc AND 37"lcd tv the other day, so i'll need to get the overtime in. Electrical homers anyone?
  15. Tbh wouldnt go near first choice. Majority opf the cars are dogs imho.

  22. Noooo not yet. Im tryng to see how much i can get away with before i have to buy her some wheels! I at least need to get me a set first
  23. Cheers for the comment. Yeah, used to have a classic wagon .
  24. Exactly mate! thats why im trying to keep to a budget. Just got the mrs to agree to some nice 18"s in Jan once we get through all this christmas nonsense!
  25. I thought i would get some bad influences on here ive been trying to save the pennys by powdercoating them. But if im being honest 18"s are what im after. Was thinking some kinda black oz style. Currently ive got the walbro fuel pump, hks panel filter and the blitz nuRspec exhaust with sports cat. Thinkin a snakehead next. As for the brakes, would the four pots not be any better with some better pads and disks? All i need is something for fast(ish) road use. Im not totally clued up so any help would be spot on.
