hi everyone, i own a impreza wrx sti version 5 type r... i am on my 3rd engine and it has started knocking, i dont know the problem but it keeps on doin it!!! the car is standers apart from full stainless exhaust!! what engine should i go for? last time i had it rebuilt i had cosworth pistons fitted.. but made no difference... i`ve heard about 2.5 sti engines but dont know the cost or if it`s straight forward... i am planning on getting the car remapped when i get it fixed... has anyone had the same problem?? what engine should i get?? how much do they cost (cheaper the better)?? is it worth doing?? and what ecu should i get to get rid of the air flow meter?? coz i think thats whats causing the problem as i have gone thru 1 every 2 months!! i live in the northwest if anyone knows any gud scooby garages.... cheers for any help

Anyone know how to tell the difference between the different impreza engines??? where the engine number is on the engine??? and do all impreza engines say ej20 on them cheers [6]
