  3. I have got a subaru sti 2004 uk model had the car about 14 months and normaly i only go out in it about twice a week and occasionally the battery goes but lately after using my car every day ive had a naff battery and it only just starts from cold after that its fine until the next day and again cold start only just starting any ideas or is it time for a new battery and if so sholud i get a higher amp one ive charged the battery and it seems ok but i no nothing about batterys the levels onit are all ok so something must be draining the power. Could be the tracker as i have a trackstar one has a 6-7 delay before it sleeps or naff battery any ideas my other issue is i will replacing my head unit and adding a vibe sub box so i was thinking is a more powerful battery needed halfords website has 10% off today so i need an answer quick halfords guide for a subaru battery is 510 amps ah value 60 and Reserve capacity: 105 or should i go for the higher one one 550 amps and ah value 68 and Reserve capacity: 125 and another higher than that is 680 amps 74 ah Reserve capacity: 185 also will a higher powered battery affect anything like the alternator? £250 for a new tracker unit fitted which goes to sleep after 1 hour or new battery

  8. the best one i have seen is if you have the same seats as mine a motorbike chain and pad lock wrapped through the top of the seat drivers side and wrapped around the steering wheel take a spark plug out or something like that to stop it from running or big dog but like said said if they come for it they probably going to get it anyway
  9. Place where i bought my car Subaru main dealer Montys of Sheffield. Bought my 2004 sti type UK from them about a month ago and i must say the worst customer care ever First of all when i took the car for a test drive before i bought the car i noticed a rattling noise from the rear they said they would have this sorted ready for when i picked up the car. I even phoned a week before picking the car up they said yes the rattling had been fixed. Did they fix it no , driving home noticed the noise still rattling. Second they had just washed the car when i first looked at it before buying it and when i opened the boot their was water in the boot they said they would fix this before i picked it up. Anyway they said they had tested it and it was fine no water coming all fixed I got home and the day after washed the car poured water over the boot the water was pouring though a nut which holds the spoiler which was blatantly coming through had to tighten it my self. Third they said they would clean the engine bay did they no. Also when collecting the car i was made to wait 2 hours while they tried to sort out the tax disc. last of all on Subaru's behalf only receive a letter after a month explaining that their may be short delay on my warranty and assistance cover handbook , every other new or used car that i have bought they give it you on the day all i got was a receipt I did ring montys and they just waffled on about how sorry they were but at the end of day why say you have done something when you haven't. I would have just the car back but I'm happy to keep it and get the car sorted at my local Subaru dealer as monty is 100 miles away from me I feel that this is not in anyway a slat-ting slagging thing against montys I'm just telling you what happened when i bought my Subaru from there.
