you have my sympathy, I got refused by a few and a quote of £1500 from another and I'm 39, 8yrs ncb, live in London. Eventually got it down to £680 for a WRX. The silly quotes came from those that asked what I drove before, to which i said "nothing for the past 8 months, and before that an X type 2.2Diesel" and then got the story about how this is a very powerful car and that they dont like to insure people moving from less powerful cars to very powerful cars. "ok" says I. For the past 18months I have been riding an Aprilia RSV1000R and a Ducati 749. It counted for nothing. Apparently 140BHP through a contact patch the size of a credit card with no traction control or ABS is easier to control than 230BHP with all those toys and a wheel in each corner and the ability to brake during cornering.....................made me laugh...............ignorance is really funny at times..... good luck!

any idea what it costs?

Hi all once I have got the first service out the way I am thinking of changing the exhaust and air filter. How do Subaru view this with regard to warranty? Also which exhaust would you guys recommend. I dont want anything loud. Be happy just to take out the cats and leave the existing silencer if possible, as I would like to keep the back looking discrete. Lastly, if I change a it of pipe at a time will the ecu cope with these changes without needing a remap. Cheers DM
