  1. you have been changing your oil and filter though surely? I change my oil and filter completely every 3000 miles, and my 2.0 does use oil but I do drive hard.
  2. I was going to argue with you.... then I looked closer, it's just wrong isn't it?!
  3. i think i would prefer a 6 speed over a noisy ass ppg kit, but they do weigh alot more.... food for thought. thanks for clarifying the matter though peeps
  4. Hope both the mum and the new arrival are doing well, congratulations!
  5. Does anyone know what sort of power figures this gearbox can take as standard? I ask because my close ratio Ra gearbox is reliable up to around 350 lbs of torque/bhp, i'm trying to decide whether to go for a PPG kit or one of these 6 speeds, when I finish my chassis/running gear mods. I'm running 310bhp now, and I want to be at 400+ this time next year.
  6. I've been told by numerous individuals (including David from APi and Ralph from Milsport), that the rolling diameter of the alloy which negatively affects handling. So yes, going to 18" will affect handling, but it's not going to destroy it by any means, some impreza time attack cars run 18s so they can fit bigger brakes.
  7. A Type R isnt the same car as a Type Ra, slightly different set up.

I'm based in mid-wales near Newtown, but I don't mind travelling for a good tuner
  9. Up until now my impreza has been serviced by APi in warwick, but I was wondering if there was anywhere closer for me to get work done on my pride and joy?
  10. Your lucky you didnt get bore-wash.
  11. Any idea what that box is rated up to?

Yeah they are very economical, but as soon as you floor it you can actually see the fuel gauge going down.
  13. kinda looks like the ******* child of a new shape astra and a bmw 1 series, with a chav front bumper
  14. Use regular unleaded with an octane booster? I can only get 97ron fuel around my parts... 115p a litre
  15. It's the width that is hard to find past 7", but its ok i've found a few sets now.
  16. Good man. I remember the day that I found out about it, I just froze... I didn't really know what to think, as a kid I always watched the WRC just to see Colin race... I didn't care too much about the other drivers I was just in awe of how relaxed and fluid his driving was. Two of my heros were taken well before their time... but i'm happy that his legend lives on and i'll do everything I can to be at the gathering.
  17. I think they are cool they way they are!
  18. are they 17x8" size wheels by any chance.....
  19. that looks really smart! are those standard alloys?
  20. I can't seem to find any, anyone have any suggestions? There are the newer 17x8 alloys fitted as standard on the new STi ver 9 Is it possible to convert pcd to 5x114, since that opens up choice ten fold....
  21. I would say this is one of the most legitamate reasons.... Their reasoning is that your fitting that roll cage because your driving faster than an average driver, also it adds value to the car, just in the same way if you fit bigger brakes. Yup!
  22. Before I say anything how fast are Higgys & Peter's cars?
  23. I don't like the bumper, wing, colour or wheels and the rear arches could do with a mod to beef them up to match the front.... i'd pay no more than 3k for an impreza like that as long as it had no problems, max.
  24. I've bought mine now ^_^ but it would still be good to see how yours are mounted
