  2. west linton steve just moved - was told a very senior police bod lives nearby here. maybe explains why zero speed cameras on a702. clearly he doesn't need use the a68. used to be a great road for progressing on a quiet evening. anywayz, still looking for something. at square 1 right now. currently debating engine bombproofness of classic scoobs.... has anyone ever done a "my scoob engine has done a zillion miles and is still mint" thread....not reassured by chocolate engine threads![*-)]

  5. Depends who built it i suppose.. would it need remapped for the right fuel /safety and more power ? not planning any more power.happy to go standard. was just going to wack in shell v power/ good stuff. unless i'm misjudging the jap fuel implications?
  6. As above , these guys are well known for having ridiculous prices though the cars do seem tempting when you go to have a look. Can't say i've got much time for the owner either but that's just my humble opinion . As said before there are LOADS of good quality cars out there, just take your time and have a look at a good few and take someone with you who knows the brand well. Could save you alot of cash in the long run. Is it a Wagon your after ? and what kind of spec are you looking for ? MY 99 Uk Classic Turbo defo a wagon - missus says saloon one step too far to boyracer. like the sti look - but if there's a garage with any wrx that's clean all over, got 276bhp and fair miles then ok
  7. thanks all, warranty appealing and mackays have given (me) good service in the past. a fresh engine is a big factor i'm figuring - what are the odds of 2 sti engines going in quick succession!?[] get to run it in meeself not in a mega rush - want to spend ma money well like a lot of you. thanks for comments again
  8. alright there, fast on the road to finding an impreza wagon. sadly too young to ever contemplate an integrale []but here's me ready and willin' to sign up for the subaru experience. insurance ok - check; 5 figure fuel fund - check; clean license - check; family friendly car choice - check. a brave new world. anywayz, point of the post? - yes - have seen a wrx sti v3 wagon in mackay trading. £8,795. it's been there a while. new recon engine.am considering... anyone else looked at this - or anything similar? please fire away if you have $0.02 to give cheers and thanks[]
