He's a 2.0 Sri turbo = not entirely sensible - needs a bit of love but plans are underway to resolve that ;)

Hell yeah, we can even have our own pasties!!! ;)

Pasties nah muffins are much nicer lol

Don't knock them til you've tried them Joff!

  2. All of your kinds words are very much appreciated - 3 days on and the sale still feels a little raw but needs must and all that.

Matty do you think we can hide the Astra and the BMW behind the gazebo at Trax? lol

  3. Don I've had a lot to sort out in my personal life this week so apologies.

Gates open at 8.00 am with the flying display commencing at 10.30 am - personally I'd like to get there quite early so I'll be at the McDonalds on Outer Circle Road in Lincoln for 7.30 am, we can then grab a coffee, tea, McMuffin etc etc and head off from there - please bear in mind I will not be in Rubes so no tanking off and leaving me behind lol.

  4. Lads and lasses,

It is with regret that I'm typing this post to inform you all of mine and Nick's decision to stand down as Regional Organisers for the Midlands region. I myself have come to the decision that I can no longer justify running a Scooby and so Rubes goes to a new home next Sunday, Nick I think cannot bear the thought of carrying on without me ;)

In all seriousness though it has been an absolute blast and I would just like to thank you all for the brilliant & fun times we've had along the way.

    Cheers,

    Rach xx

  5. Guys,

I'm really sorry but I'm going to have to cancel this weekend - I have tried pretty much every camp-site in the Rutland area but none of them were willing to take a booking for a single night until closer to the date (ie now) and the only ones that are no longer fully booked are the ones that have no toilets or shower blocks!!!! If we'd chosen to go for two nights we wouldn't have had an issue.

    Apologies once again,

    Rach x

  6. Ill be there cos ill be working it :( still at least I don't have to pay for a ticket :), it was great on the Saturday last year the sun was blazing so spent most of the day washing the Scooby :D will hopefully be the same this year

Well if you see a load of scoobs turning up make sure to pop over and say hello

  7. Oh good a group of nutters like me i should feel right at home,we have to grow older but nobody said we have to grow up. :icon_pray:

    :iagree:

I can see this camping trip getting very very very messy lol especially with goofy and rach being there

I have no idea what you mean Joff ;)

  8. Could always phone them up and see what they say if they are not busy they might be happy with some custom and some of us being more mature (ha ha) could be ok.

Mate you haven't seen me and Nick (Goofy) when we get together . . . . . actually none of us can be called mature I don't think :D

On a serious note though, probably won't be a bad idea I'll try and get hold of them over the next day or so

  9. I agree being a smoker as well but can always smoke just outside the site.

    Yay! I have a smoking buddy :)

Everyone else happy with using Greendale?

Oh hold on do we think this could be a problem?

    11. COMMERCIAL VEHICLES & GROUPS of more than two couples [booked tog. or separately] are not accepted.

  10. Try this on www.adultstouring/parkdetails/greendale-farm-caravan-camping-park-rutland/ its 20quid a night pub close by even has a swiming pool. Have a look see what you think.

Nice idea but it's non smoking and Little Vodka Goblin + no nicotine is not good, not good at all :D

  11. Should be good, if i lived closer i'd be there.

Worked on loads of airshows over 23 years in the RAF and used to have the Reds practice over my house in Cyprus all the time they were training for the show season (which was great when you were on nights, or had washing out).

I'm just waiting for the Reds to come home from Cyprus, RAF Scampton is about 5 miles from my house so they pass over here pretty frequently - combine that with the AWACS from Waddington and we pretty much have our own airshow going on in the back garden :D

  12. Held annually over the first weekend of July at Royal Air Force Waddington, Lincoln, the RAF Waddington International Air Show is the largest of all RAF air shows, regularly attended by over 125,000 visitors. The show offers a truly unforgettable family day out as well as providing some outstanding corporate and private hospitality packages. The main purpose of the event is to increase public awareness and understanding of the RAF and its role today. All proceeds from the Air Show are donated to RAF and local charities each year. The spectacular 7-hour flying display features the fabulous Red Arrows, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and many more military and civilian aircraft from the UK and abroad. Ground displays include 2 exhibition hangars, funfair, classic cars display, pleasure flying and much more.
