  5. Grant, Imy, Andy, Cheers Totally AGREE with all of the above posts. I was totally overwhelmed by the amazing support for this event. Words cannot descibe how we felt convoying down. It is AMAZING to think this was concieved and organised by three ordinary people! A massive thanks to you all, and of course to everyone involved in the planning! One massive thanks must go to everyone who turned up, you did yourselves proud! Cheers, Richard Massive respect to Imy, Andy & Grant
  6. Cal, Glad you posted that, I worked for Shell for 13 years, and all I ever got when I was at home was why does petrol cost so much??? I've tried explaining but people always think its the oil companies, the only winner in this country with high fuel prices, is Mr Brown and his cronies! Just think what our fuel prices could be if we were independant (with the OIL, not without) in Scotland. As an oil producing nation we pay the highest at the pumps, I've lived in other oil producing countries and no-one pays what we do, and we can make the stuff. Its NOT the oil companies fault, they are in business to make money, just like any other business. regards Richard

  10. Thanks guys, credit card is now torn up...[] Thanks for the advice on the TT I have been taking it easy for the last few miles as you suggest (lots of people have been telling that I should use I timer) but my last turbo car (10 years ago which I bought from my dad (he had it from new)) still had its original turbo after 130k with no timer! just plenty of regular 6k oil changes! Thanks again guys Richard M
  11. [] Hi everyone, I have lurked on here for a while but this is the first post, thought I would say hello and introduce myself to you all Had this 55 plate WRX for about 6 weeks now.........still havent stopped grinning [] yet (dont think i ever will) its my first scoob, had various other big engined cars but nothing that makes me grin like this! " target="_blank">http://files.photojerk.com/scoobyrich/Scooby1.jpg"> Its totally standard apart from the PPP kit fitted from new. I'm toying with the idea of mods but dont have the deep enough pockets at the moment! First on the list is a turbo timer, can anyone recommend any makes that I should go for? Also I'm from the South Lanarkshire area, and I do try to give a flash of the lights or a wave to any other scoobs that I see out there! Well hopefully I get a chance to chat with a few of you over the coming months, Regards Richard
