  1. Hi mate, What exactly is wrong with the car? As £6283 must mean there is some quite substantial damage? Cheers, Alan

  3. You dont need to do any modifications just to add a new backbox. If you want to get the most out of it (ie power gains) then yes, it would need a remap. However if you just want it to look and sound good, then no mods are required. Hope that helps, Alan
  4. Hello, Did anyone else see Chop Shop on discovery channel lastnight?? Craigy and his scoob were on in the first 5 mins at Trax 2007! Looking Good! lol
  5. Sorry....am I being thick, or did you say that the ***** who stole, and then crashed your car is trying to claim from your insurance??? That is unreal!!!! I take it the police have dealt with him? If not, pass this info on to them, as to claim he will need to supply name and adress etc... I dont see how he has any leg to stand on with reguards to claiming from your insurance!!
  6. excellent, glad there's so many interested! as for dates I will contact prodrive and see if they can open at a weekend for us. Hopefully if this interest continues there should be enough of us to warrant an event out of it! Cheers Alan

  14. Hi, I used to go to my local scooby dealer in Watford, however i have just descovered that this is now gone!! Just wondering what dealer those who live in the Aylesbury/High Wycombearea use? Or more generally, where is the nearest dealer to Amersham? Cheers Alan
  15. Im 22 with 5yrs NCB. I spent ages and ages searching round insurance companies trying to A) find somone to insure me B)and wouldn't mean i had to sell a body part each year to pay for it!! I found the following (hopefully might be of some help to you) 1, most companies dont want to know unless you've got a tracker - so get one if you can! 2, Almost all of them wouldnt insure me on in import, or if they did, it was a lot more wedge! 3, Being kept in a locked Garage off the road overnight saved a fair bit 4, living in city centres adds a lot more! (ducati749er - i feel for you living in london!! they take the mick if you have a london postcode!) I got mine in the end for £990 full comp (with advanced driving qulifications). So ideally if you want to increase your cances of getting insured and not having to do a bank job to pay for it, you need to have a UK car, with CAT1 Alarm/Immobiliser, Tracker and kept off the road in a locked garage in a low risk post code! If that doesnt make things better, then the only other thing to do is wait a few years! Good luck! (and remeber at the end of the day, you'll be driving a scooby, so its worth sacrificing a few pints throughout the year to pay for the insurance!)
  16. Sorry to hear abut your car! Hope the ***** are caught! (and not by the police) Just a quick bit of advice (may not apply to your situation but just incase) If your car is in police storage(contacted out to Kenfields etc), then get it released ASAP. Its a total rip off and the storage charges are ridiculous because its meant to penalise the people who have their cars seized for no insurance etc and not decent people like yourself who get their car nicked! Have it taken to your local garage or even a mate who has a lockup and the insurance company can come out and asses it there! Thats what i always tell people when i deal with their stolen motors. If your 100% its going to have to be an insurance claim then it doesnt really matter becasue they will pay for the storage costs anyway, but if your just looking at new ignition and a front splitter you could potentially not claim to keep your insurnce from going up? Anyway, good luck with it mate!
  17. Hi, Was a great day! Done a bit of mucking around on photoshop - Cheers, Alan
  18. hi mate! Excellent pictures! Excellent day too! Keep up the good work Alan
  19. As above, that stuff doesnt work, further more if its ever found out that you are using it to prevent a speed camera clocking your plate, your commiting further offences. In short, its a waste of money. I use a snooper s6 neo with radar/laser detector mounted in front grill. Works for me! Dont forget, if you dont recieve your NIP within 14 days you should be ok!
  20. hi, Anyone else meeting at the Denham turn off of the m40??
