  1. Hi folks, I noticed earlier this evening that im running kinda low on engine oil. When I had my Civic Type R on the road earlier this year I was running silkolene pro s 5w 40 in the engine and it was like I had a new engine. In the MY99 UK Turbo I am unsure as to what was put into it in the last service etc. Can anyone recommend a good oil for the scoob? It's just that I want to give the girl a new lease of life and give her the best. Like all women want![] Cheers
  2. Its a nice lookin motor but for some reason it looks a lot like the new style BMW????[:^)] Does anyone else think this or am I havin a bad day?
  3. Hi folks, I have a champagne silver MY99 UK facelift turbo and when I bought it back in Mar 07, it was totally standard and 'tango' galore. I have since wiped the orange smile off its face with some crystal fittings and also put on some new shoes from Lenso (17" KR5's with TOYO's) but now i'm looking at going down the Carbon Fibre route. I have just put on an STI 6 CF Wing and it looks good so far.........I think. I am now looking to get the mirrors and bonnet done aswell. I am just looking for some thoughts from all walks of life up here in gods country. Cheers
  4. Just out of interest, is the dent on bend near the window or on a flat area of paneling? I had a dent just above my rear wheel arch in my old Civic Type R and used what can only be described as the best tool a plumber could have, a Toilet Plunger! It pulled the dent right out with no disturbance to the paint either, well except for a ring mark from the plunger. This was removed with a quick wash and polish. Oh just to point out, i'm not a plumber [:$] Im in I.T. []
  5. Does anyone know of a good supplier of Locking Wheel Nuts in the Kirkcaldy/Glenrothes area???? I got some new alloys with free wheel nuts but there are not enough and I dont really want to use the old ones. Anyone got any ideas?? Cheers
  6. Hi m8, I am running Avons at the minute on my MY99 turbo with standard wheels and to be honest they are complete pants, side walls give in too much on roundabouts and cause you to slide a little. I have just purchased TOYO T1R's for all round on bigger rims, I had these on my TYPE R last year and they were like glue on the road. But then again the Classic UK Turbo is a lot bigger than the TYPE R. See how it goes. Hope this helps
