Hello all, Go a bit of a problem!! My car is due to run at 2pm. Unfortunatly I need to leave before that for a family thing. Hello all, I am a teacher of Design Technology (woodwork and metalwork for you old-timers!!). A colleague and I are entering the www.greenpower.co.uk competition. We work in an inner city school where extra curricular activities such as this are an excellent way of motivating students to achieve. The competition is designed to enthuse students’ about engineering and motor sport. It will also develop transferable skills such as team work, leadership, financial management and project management. We are very excited about the competition and currently have 37 students (mixed age and gender) signed up and ready to go. The one thing holding us back is unfortunately money. Therefore I am asking if anyone out there can offer sponsorship to our team. We can in return offer advertising space on the car and in all school communications. The school newsletter is distributed to 1000 students each term and the competition will appear every term with all sponsors logos/support. Additionally if any of you have skills that could be useful (automotive design, welding, engineering, mechanic) and are willing to offer your services please let me know. Seeings its a bit quite........ I am running a wrx so no brembo's....but I changed the fronts at about 23K miles. I think the ferrodo ones are well respected and most go for them as an upgrade. They are not so good when cold, but get a bit of heat into them and they are great. Internet is probably your best bet for cheap parts, then get a local garage to fit them.

Hello all, My wrx (my05) has got the knocking struts problem that is aparently quite common. I dont want to replace with standard as I fancy an upgrade. I quite fancied some coilovers but people are telling me they are far too hard for road use. So can anyone give me any details/opinions of the coilovers on your cars and where can I get some uprated dampers from if I choose not to go down the coilovers route. Any help greatly appreciated Dan

Hello All, I am about to get some coilovers (the rear is knocking!!!, typical my05 problem!!!![:@]). I might fit them myself but time could be a problem. So, can anyone recommend a good garage in Kent that can fit and set up (probably only height and alignment) my coilovers. Cheers

Vicky K - you have been spotted!!!! On SMI - chatham My scoob was on the road while I was fitting some springs to a mates blue astra on the drive. Heard your exhaust from the top of the road (great burble!!!) and tried to wave but it was a bit difficult with a hand full of MacPherson!!!! Hello!!!
