might be worth getting geometry settings checked to make sure they are on a standard setting. read alot of reports about new cars not having the settings done properly from the factory or on the p.d.i and being a mile out when checked. i've got a classic and the pro drive settings on mine made a nice difference. WORTH A PHONE CALL AND TRY TO HAGGLE, DON'T TELL THEM YOUR BUDGET AND SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO. MIGHT BE WORTH TELLING THEM YOU'LL SING THERE PRAISES ON THIS FORUM IF THEY GIVE A DISCOUNT. THEY MADE A MISTAKE WHEN THEY QUOTED ME OVER THE PHONE, BUT THE BOSS STUCK TO THE PRICE THEY QUOTED ME. ONLY TOOK THE GUY ABOUT THREE HOURS TO FIT. i've got a viper 480xv fitted to mine by precision alarms on canvey island. they came to my house to fit, very good job done. viper is supposed to be a more reliable brand of clifford. it comes with a pager alarm fob which lets you know if your car is being tampered with. got a good deal on mine with a full closure system and door solenoid fitted. might be worth a call. they also do the clifford range but they talked me into the viper. good luck, matt

I'LL SECOND RM TYRES. HE WAS THE ONLY PLACE I COULD FIND LOCALLY, THAT WOULD SUPPLY ONLY, SO I DON'T THINK HE WOULD HAVE A PROBLEM JUST FITTING AND BALANCING. MY TYRES ON THE NET ARE ALSO VERY GOOD.

evening all, need some info about 4 pot brake pad shims. in the progress of sourcing parts to upgrade my classis to 4 pot front brakes. the question is, do the pads all run with shims on the top, bottom and back of the pad?, are the pads loose in the caliper without shims causing knocking noises? do the shims usually come when purchasing pads? any info gratefully received. many thanks matt
