  1. put a post in the car care secton mate, alot of serious detailers go on there. from what i have read, if the marks aren't to deep, can't feel it with your finger nail, should be able to machine polish out. they know best in the other section, will be able to tell you what is required.
  2. had the prodrive alignment done on mine a while ago, makes a difference. recently fitted alloy drop links all round and a whiteline 22mm adjustable rear arb. biiiiiiiiiig difference nice easy job too firms up the ride a little but nothing unbearable. got arb on middle setting, nice and neutral. when it does slide it all slides together.
  3. is it 600 or 750? just mot'd mine ready for the scorching summer
  4. fine looking wagon mate
  5. one of the first mods i done to mine was get rid of the gear stick gaitor!!. looks good.
  6. live average speed cameras going northbound, all the way to the booths. they are also planning to install them south bound over qe2 bridge. nothing in the tunnels though
  7. looking good mate, lights make a huge difference.
  8. for anybody who uses them, found out this morning the parts and servicing has now moved to the car sales on the main high street. bit of a pain to park there though.
  9. is your car an ra model or a model with different gearing. even if it was built up from scratch, shouldn't crunch between gears. you said on you first post the box was warranted, if that's the case, take it back and don't leave until sorted. don't take any excuses like poor oil or running the box in. if the synchro hub is in a good condition it should do it's job and allow a smooth crunch free change.
  10. hello mate, did they say how reconditioned the box was, was it stripped and checked or just an old box from a scrapped car with the oil changed. many companies idea of recon varies from a full strip and rebuild to wiping over the outside with a rag. if your not changing gear overly fast i would suspect a worn synchro between the gears which changing the oil will not cure, may only mask. find out from them the history of the old box and what the did to it before resale. good luck. if you not happy with the answer then take it back.
  11. camskill do new sensors for £89.
  12. they are your rear lateral links, as dazzler said, allows adjustment to camber angle, probably stiffer than standard links. tsl sell perrin items, the same sort of thing.
  13. fitted my front and rear whiteline alloy drop links this afternoon, just been out for a spirited test drive, have to say i'm very impressed, another worthwhile mod done to the wagon. just broke the news to the wife that i now need a new rear anti roll bar
  14. A BIG FOR WILSONS OF ROMFORD. DONE A CAM BELT SERVICE ON MY CAR LAST WEEK. NO PROBLEMS PICKING WHICH JOBS THEY DID AND WHICH I DONE OFF OF THE SERVICE SCHEDULE. VERY GOOD QUICK SERVICE. GAVE A 15% DISCOUNT ON PARTS AND LABOUR. MILES CHEAPER THAN MY LOCAL SUBARU DEALER. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
  15. they have a number for keith michaels in the members only area, alot of members use them, i got the best deal for my classic with all mods listed from 'a plan'. very good prices. nobody else could come close.
  16. hello and welcome mate, nice looking car matey
  17. GREAT NEWS MATE, GLADE YOUR ALL HOME AND WELL. ALL THE BEST, MATT, SALLY AND BOYS
  18. if it's the release bearing or g/box it's a box out job regardless i'm afraid mate. if you've gone through the hassle of dropping the box then i'd allways fit a full new clutch kit wether the clutch looks worn or not. good time with the box on the floor for somebody to have a look at it. think there might be a group buy going on for clutches and flywheels on here at the moment. might be worth a look. i'm sure i recall granby having a clutch and flywheel on his, so i would ask him regarding costs. all the best, matt
  19. sorry to hear that mate, you can't seem to leave a nice car anywhere these days. we had a maintenance mini bus stolen from my works last week (dartford tunnel), the following day the cheeky tw**s tried to use the dart tag from the mini bus to get through. bold as brass!!
  20. i've got ferrodo ds2500's in my four pots, very pleased with them, got them from wallice performance. done them for a good price, their number is in the back of the true grip mag.
  21. sounds like it could be the clutch release bearing if noise goes when clutch depressed. also might be the spigot bush in the flywheel that the g/box input shaft goes into, (i'm assuming it's that type of g/box, never done a subaru before) had a problem with these on some of the land rovers i have the pleasure of working on , cured problem with new spigot fitted dry.
  22. there is a scheduled qe2 bridge closure on both of those days. going on about 20.30. so tunnel both ways
  23. THE RB320 IS A GREAT LOOKING CAR, BUT I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THE PORSCHE IF IT WAS MY MONEY. GOOD LUCK
  24. if you go slightly further mate, power engineering only 50 - 60 mins away. top class service there
