  3. I believe due to some disagreements on the Sussex Scoobies site and also how well the Japbash meeting went last month. Some of the members from other forums had such a good time they want to get members from the South East (Kent,Sussex,Surrey)together for larger meetings. I think a big part was played by Kent Scoobies at Japbash that went on till the early hours(you know who you were ) so they are starting off the SES forum planned for this week. Will post more info as it comes, as long as this thread doesn't step on an SIDC site rule To register on the site click here

  13. What a great meeting that was loads of great cars and most of the owners were well behaved. Looking forward to next years. As Blue said the Banners and gazebo was looking great and stopped us from getting wet in the morning. Weather was alot better in the afternoon and made the day even better. Lets hope the campers had a good night, I'm sure we will hear the stories later so that should be interesting( if they're not can you make something up)

  22. Bit more info about the event from the Sussex Scoob site.. Finally it’s here! Japbash 2008 is this Sunday at The Piltdown Man in Piltdown Nr Uckfield. After months of planning, begging for favours and trawling numerous Jap Car forums and posting the meet details, we are there! Everything points toward this year’s event being bigger and better than last year’s event. And the weather forecast is also looking like it will be kind to us as well. To answer one question that has been asked quite a bit in the last few weeks, Japbash is totally free of charge to attend, in the same way the old Bolney meet was. With regards to what is happening on the day, we have Blitz and the boys from Auto BMC who are bringing down 10 top notch show cars which will form the centre piece of the meet, these are stunning cars that will no doubt be crowded for most of the day. We also have our trade stands, firstly we have Jap Performance Parts from Crawley, Saj and his crew will be selling Jap parts for all makes of cars, their knowledge is second to none and they will do everything they can to get exactly what you require. On top of that, they will be bringing their RWD Impreza Race Car with the Skyline engine, this thing is a beast. They will also hopefully be bringing the rally car they sponsor and one of the European Drift Cars, along with a couple of Skylines. We also have Kudos Automotive, Andy is a supplier of some of the best after market Alloys money can buy, he also specialises in fitting all form of ICE, Andy’s knowledge in this field is exceptional, so if you are planning anything by way of ICE for your car, make sure you talk to Andy. Andy is also a supplier of Meguiars products and will have a full range of items for sale on the day. Another stand on the day will be Dave Hollamby from Gatwick Subaru, Dave will be selling branded Subaru WRC Merchandise and if rumours are true, maybe even the car that he brings with him! Dave as with the other guys above is a well known name in the world of Subaru owners in the East & West Sussex and his knowledge of all things Subaru are endless. If you have any questions, Dave is the man to speak to. Last but by no means least, we have Automotive Repair Systems, Paul and the team are offering a range of services on the day which, they will doing Alloy Wheel Refurbishment, Paintless Dent Removal and Paint Repair. These services have already had a fair amount of booking for the day but I’m pretty sure they will manage to fit most people in on the day. This is the second time that Paul and his team have been used on a meet locally and they are a top notch team. Also, just a final reminder that there will be camping available on site (again at no charge), for either the Saturday or Sunday night. On Sunday night there will also be a disco laid on to keep the campers entertained while we sup a beer or two. Finally, this day has always been about having a good day out with likeminded people. We hope that you all enjoy the day and will spread the word for next year’s event when it happens. All the best, The Japbash Team.
  23. Sunday The event starts at 12noon and the Sussex members are arriving just a little before so if we meet at around 10-10.15 at Tunbridge Wells that will give us time to get there. How does that sound?
