  1. This was how I spent my weekend, fitting Seibon Carbon Grill. I nearly sold it as it wasn't a straight fit, had no fitting kit with it, just didn't know whether to bother trying to get it to fit..........But then thought sod it, it looks nice give it a go. So £15 later spent on brackets clear lacquer nuts & bolts self tappers its on. Although it came with some mesh, it was silver and didn't match the bottom grill, so I took it off the old grill which was just the right size, so happy with that bit. Then it was time spent painting the brackets and screw heads to match, Brackets made, painted, fitted mmmm now I need a Carbon Splitter
  2. The Type UK's didnt come with tints as standard prob an optional extra, or like you say the last owner had them done. I believe the JDM STI's had the rear 3 all tinted but very dark though.
  3. Baz, nice pics again . Have you get your parcel yet?
  4. Wow, thats a compliment an a half Ace, thanks very much for that Like to think that all my little touchs have brought together a nice looking car, visual or performance tweeks.
  5. After some help from various members on here posting pics up, I had my car booked in today for some window tints. Front 2 sides are a light smoke, rear 3 are a medium smoke. Wanted a subtle look rather than limo black rears, which I think look best on the 3Door Imprezas. Even got a lift to and from the shop from the owner whilst he did the tints in his very smart A6, what a service. All done Mark from Tintman in Clacton-Essex. In the direct sunlight they appear a lot lighter, as you can see. Even still the cars a LOT cooler inside, from this expected heat wave we're about to get
  6. Yeah it pointing up through the inner wing, no real need for it to be routed anywhere, so its just done for looks.
  7. No, it never had fog lights to begin with, just the normal STI covers. see below:- Offside was needed for air filter, nearside just to balance it up. Mesh painted black, blue alu funnel and 85mm flexi hose behind.
  8. Just fancied balancing up the front end by adding another fog light surround unit to match the offside. Thinking it looks pretty good and I'll live with it for a while, the old cover can soon be popped back on. Heres how it was, this is a feed straight to the air box:- Added nearside unit, air being ducted to engine bay:- ps:- offside fog light unit is on ebay one day left if anyone fancies doing this mod.
  9. Jonesy, Thats look real good, the fronts look fine I'd say for what the law allows. Thanks for posting
  10. Could I ask you guys to post up some pics of your window tints please? I'm due to have mine done next week, and have semi asked for light smoke for the fronts and medium for the rears and a sun strip. I'm just wondering if the different shades will go well or should I go for light smoke all round, light smoke is on the legal limit so I wont be going any darker on the fronts. I've seen lots of Scoobys with darker rears and they look pretty good. This is on my 05 Impreza STI in wr blue, just for info. As many pics as you can suplly if you please Thanks in advance Daz.
  11. I'm after some new number plates with Sonic The Hedgehog on for the badge, search loads of sites but no joy. So anyone know of sa site that does them?. By the way they are not for my car, it for me neice's first car Thanks in advance Daz
  12. Firstly I had some Black Diamond Predator pads from and rear, they worked fine for the road, these sell for around £80 front bit less for the rears. Since I changed to grooved discs I changed to Ferrodo pads all round the DS2500, these seemed to be very highly rated for fast road/track use, but they come at a price of £160 fronts, £80 rears. They are now fully bedded in and work excellently, but do give off slightly more dust than the Preds did.
  13. Thanks for that. Its the standard STI spoiler with x2 Perrin Wing Stiffis added. I use Meguiars NXT Gen glass cleaner, gives great results the windscreen water just beads off, so minimal wiper use.
  14. Made use of a free space in the double garage over the weekend, as the Trans'am had gone to a car show, so washed and clayed outside, then using a range of Blackfire products inside, really nice to have loads of room and out of the sun. Got some different reflections, so out came the camera again Our new family member now "Sam", he wasn't too impressed with the time on the car, hence the cheeky tongue lol
  15. This was today little project, fit the Diff Guard I had for a while on the shelf . Just another part to polish up weekly, more the merrier All washed and tucked up for another day Thanks for looking, Daz
