  1. ha ha, Porsche got a pasting all day and i still got 20 mpg out of the thing [], and the insurance was a hell of a lot cheaper than my STi. [*-)]
  2. Yeah, the STi is a great car but the feeling of the Porsche. WOW. Handling, engine, noise and the way its put together, just spot on. [] I know i cant compare Porsche with Subaru but you know why they cost what they do. And compared to the 911 i think its a bargain at 50k. Now all i need is 50k. []
  3. Just had to drop this back off at the dealers this morning. For some reason Porsche must think i've got more money than i actually have and keep sending me invites to test drive different models. I'm not complaining like. [] Had it for 24 hours and gave it a damn good pasting too. When i was driving it i was thinking " this is quicker than my STi" but when i got back in mine this morning i was like "No, this is defo quicker" [] If i had the cash i'd rather go for the Porsche though. 4. Yeah mate, Friday about 6 ish. I know which traffic laws you mean coz i obey the same ones at all times. []
  5. Alright Dave, I'd say you would make it to Nottingham mate, I got to Belgium from Liverpool on 1 tank in my MY05 STi PPP. []
  6. Think it was you Karl, giving it a bit of welly from the lights by China town heading towards Park Rd. Car sounded sweet mate. [Y] I was in my van going to work. Al-g
  7. I called in at a dealer nearer to me, still a 80 round trip and they were vague with their answers. They wanted me to leave the car but couldn't guarantee they could be changed on warranty. Worth a try tho mate, you might be lucky.
  8. Sorry, as for your question. I'd use V-Power.
  9. Always used Optimax since it come out and now V-Power. Used Tesco 99 last week for the 1st time, couldn't find a Shell near Dover on the was back from Germany. Filled up in Liverpool and got to a services somewhere in Belgium on 1 tank of V-Power, 375 miles. Same style of driving with Tesco 99 only got me 340 miles. Could only manage 75 miles to a tank at the Nurburgring using ARAL 98 RON. Had fun using it all tho. []
  10. I had the same happen to me last year when i picked my STi up from Sheffield. Phoned the dealer but all they could say was "bring it back up so we can check them, if they need it we'll get them skimmed" Liverpool to Sheffield isn't the closest commute. If i lived closer to them i would have pursued new discs, but it was too far and i couldn't be ass'd with the messing. Just went out and got my own uprated discs and pads.
  11. Cheers Rasher, Was hoping to get a look at yours yesterday at the Riverside but you couldn't make it. I'll give it a good going over when i get back.
  12. Hi Diablo, I can make it for tha saturday mate, you will just have to let me know what time to meet up with you. Good job its free coz i'll be skint from the Nurburgring. [] Does it matter that my car isn't a show piece, it scrubs up well and i'll try not to bring any of Germany back with it. LOL
  13. Spot on mate, still yet to see one on the road. [Y] Gunther. By any chance does your mate ride a green Kawasaki ZX7R?
  14. A mate of mine fitted a 2nd hand box and new clutch to his classic a few years ago and skimmped on getting the flywheel sorted, he regretted that. The judder was shocking.
  15. Alright mate, Had my car serviced at Prosport yesterday and they are doing the kit for 1500 all in. Well i think it was 1500, may have been 1550. Mine came with fitted and have not driven an STi without so am unable to compare. But from what i have heard it does make a difference. Heard a couple of things that they are only meant to make about 285bhp or there abouts but its not all about power. The change in characteristics should be enough.
