Dose the new car feel any different to drive?

Hi all. I have a interesting / worrying timing belt story. Today I took my Impreza (UK 99) to have its timing belt replaced. After removing the cover and turning the engine a few rev to get the time marks lining up they saw a problem. The right timing gear was 2 teeth out! So they removed the belt reset all the timing gears correctly (normal settings) put the new belt on. But!!! After checking the engine’s timing was all ok they started it.. It sounded like a mess! It was lucky to run at all!... So confused my this, The guys put the timing off by 2 teeth on the right gear and the car runs great !!!! its runs sweet. So by putting the time off it run supper… odd! I got 263bhp a few months ago with the time like this… Has this happen to anyone? Can anyone explain? Also one of the pulley wheels on the right in metal, not like the rest (poly) The garage thinks the engine was rebuilt at some time. What do you all think?

I was out on Friday Night, Play around.. Got a bit crazy and was caught doing well over xxxmph in livingston. The cops where coming the other way, they turned around and stopped me.. Luckly they never got time to trace myspeed. I got offf. So I missed going to court ! Fraser = A Twat :-) I have not been over 30 all weekend now.

I have not took any pics yet. They used the wrong colour. My car is white silver not gray! But looking closer the paint is full of lines and the vent have runs on them ! I will post pics soon..

Update 2 - They now cant get the colour right ! After the repaint its got lines on the bonnet and the colour is different again :-( And after chatting to Stevie Walker's guys. They are in shock on the colour that firth painted the car ! Not just the colour but the finish is crap toooooooooo. The car is now book in to Stevie Walkers, They seem really nice guys and gave me a good price ! So dont go the Firth in Livingston! !!!! !

update.. They have offered to do it again, But to also blend in the front wings in this time. See they done the door at the same time and that was 100% ok. see they just painted the bonet and did not blend it in to the wings ! So it is booked in the the 28th... pls all prey it comes back ok and not pink !!!!!

Hi. I have had my car for a few weeks, when I got her, there was a small bump on the bonnet. So I took it to a place in Livingston called Firth for the bonnet to be filled in and painted. But ! to my dismay ! There colour match is %***$$£" My car is silver not gray !!!! :-( help help help I need someone that can repaint her bonnet but to silver! So do you know any good paint shops close to Livingston? Fraser = crying !!!! thanks

Hi 1 - When was your tracking last check ? New tyers sometime show up off sets on your tracking.. 2 - ? call toyo - there detail are on their website. 3- Am will check the parts maunal and will get back to you soon.(hope some can spot it for you sooner) 4 - never touch the disc.. painting them is like putting oil on them.. (car no stopyyyy) ! Callipers are ok.. keep the paint away from the rubbers.

Hi all _o/ I am big fan of the car and have been working my way up to it...Drving a FTO and a Clio 172 cup (fast but no grip) on the way. I have just bought my dream car, A 1999 Impreza UK spec.
