  1. Cheers By the way. Is the clutch on mine compatible with the WRX box?
  2. Would the gearbox off a MY01 WRX fit my MY00 UK turbo?
  3. Exhaust doesn't look standard, more like a ninja.
  4. So if the SIDC are now official sponsors, do members get a discount on the admission fee?
  5. I got my renewal off A Plan. Didn't like it so I shopped around and Greenlight gave me a £200 cheaper quote. Went back to A Plan with this and they promptly knocked another £20 off the Greenlight quote. I'm just a bit miffed they didn't just quote that in the first place, after all the original renewal letter said it was the "best price they could offer".
  6. It's the women round here that tend not to wave at all. 50/50 on the blokes. My mate saw me wave at a scoob on the A5 in Staffordshire the other weekend on the way back from London. He found it amusing and then went on to question who I do and don't wave at. I told him I only wave at turbos and not the non-turbos cos they are not really part of the 'click'
  7. Cheers for that. The guy at the insurance company said Subaru did start confirming the alarm was cat 1 sometime in the year 2000.
  8. I overtook you a few miles from Mold heading toward Denbigh.
  9. Who would I go to, to get a certificate to prove my factory fitted alarm is a Cat 1? The car is a MY00 uk turbo. Should I go to Subaru UK themselfs or the dealer that originally sold the car? It's for the insurance company.
  10. Ok after a quick exploratory drive, I'm impressed. Car feels tighter and I also had an annoying knocking noise at the back which seems to have gone. But still only a 10 min drive. After this weekend I'll have a better idea.
  11. Hmmm... Rear ARB and droplinks delivered by a very nice man today! Fitting tomorrow.
  12. And should I be looking at adjustable or non-adjustable ARBs?
  13. Ok so I haven't changed anything on the car for ages and I'm getting an itch about it that needs to be scratched! Which would people advise I change first, if there is a perfered order that is. The ALK or the ARB and drop links on the the rear? After either has been fitted, do they require being setup professionally?
  14. Just had both rear bearings replaced on my uk MY00. They didn't replace the axle! They did however strip the hub down.
  15. Although perhaps not that surprising considering the opposition. The fact they are almost the same price in the US was surprising.
  16. I think my rear driveshaft has gone. Where is a good place to get one from and does the fitting require any special tools (apart from my trusty hammer! )
  17. Cracking pics. Are you the Kevin that used to be a on the RSC forums?
  18. Always wondered what the underside of a WRC looks like.
  19. Ugly but in a pretty way, if you know what I mean.
  20. The time has come for me to do an oil change on the old girl. So apart from the oil and a filter, what else do I require? Are there any special tools needed to get the sump plug out, can I get new sump plug washers from any old motor factors? Cheers
  21. We're the council. We know everything about you. If you think about it, the council has control over nearly every aspect of your life from birth to death and in some cases beyond. Depends what the priorities of your council are. Or the local plod could have asked them to do it and given them a list of addresses so they can concentrate on the rest of the paperwork cops have to do these days.
  22. He could have been buying sweets BUT he was parked next to a pump! [*-)]
  23. Was that you that went flying past me in the 40 area outside St Asaph on the Rhyl Rd just after you had filled up at the petrol station??? []
