  1. LOL mate! I'm glad I posted to show my appreciation of some excellent pics, didn't realise it would turn so funny. You should have posted on rx8oc - I'm not a member, but visit from time to time. You know what its like..... some folk are just right up themselves about how great thier car is and how sh*te the rest are. Me, I like all decent motors, but prefer m/bikes for sheer acceleration and (usually) top speed, and leaving 'decent motors' for dead ;-). The last four wheel drive thingy I drove was a Land Rover in the R.A.F. but as I'm not at all worried about my rear wheel drive motor bitting back (which it has but no more swtching off TCS for me - fast learner), I won't be trading in for a 'Disco' just yet. LOL ;-). Tell you what tho'. RX8's lack torque but remember they are NA and rev to 9000+. Now RX7's...........................................hmm....... Cheers.
  2. Hi chris, Ah, an ex Rex eh ;-). Rotorstock III has been and gone. I don't recall Carl's beast being their tho'. The weather did its worst and ended the final day on the drag strip at about 3pm. There were some folk there hoping to break some records but not to be. Plenty of FAST jap motors and a few Norton Rotary bikes on the strip - awesome. Had a look around here last night, seems like a pretty cool bunch of folk - just like MRC eh. :-). Cheers.
  3. Hello all. Quick intro first. The link to this was posted on www.mazdarotaryclub.com in the Rotary and General Chit Chat threads. I'm a member and moderator on MRC, but to top it all off, I own a blue 230 RX8 like the one in the pics here. rx8er is the user name I'd never thought of until after I joined MRC, hence you won't find rx8er (me that is) on there. Ian will do it tho'. I just wanted to call in and say what's been said already.. EXCELLENT PICS !! Also, having read through the posts, nice to find that the rex driver didn't get slated for simply being a rex driver, in fact, if I read it right, it seems that a lack of on track etiquette may have played its part? Maybe a lack of experience too? I suppose only the driver really knows. I'd be proper peeved if it was me tho'. Put me right off doing a track day.......... Anyway, thats it for now peeps. I'll have a look around for a mo and say tata for now. Oh, btw, anyone here get to Rotorstock this year? Cheers.
