I have this on my 97 wagon, although it has not done it for a while. Sounds like the boost solenoid as said above, the faq mentions removing the t-shaped connector for the rubber pipes connected to the bost solenoid and spraying in some brake cleaner before going for a blast to clear it out. I have not got round to trying it yet as it seems to have stopped. This is likely to happen after a service as when the oil level is too high it can clog up the pipes. On mine it feels very dramatic and all power is cut as the ecu is cutting both ignition and fuel as it thinks it is overboosting. iirc, your wagon should be running 0.9bar if standard. Clear indicators sound good, but I dont think those lights would look the best on the wagon, imho!!

Thanks! I went on their site but cant seem to find any of the Knockhill photos. Any idea if there are any more and how I can get copies? Its got an 1800 16v from a mk2 witha lot of work gone into it. It has been lightened and balance and blueprinted, cams, head, drysump etc but is seriously down on power at the moment. It is down 25bhp at the wheels and is running way to rich, plus we were suffering from a very annoying missfire at 5000rpm, just when it should be on cam, hence having to leave the pits so often on Friday. Not sure if you heard when we passed you but it is bogging down for abot 5 secs and then takes off again at 6500rpm. Your 205 looked very good, I almost bought one last year! What lump is in it? Ali

Was a great day, although sad to see the yellow scoob on fire. Awesome weather and good drivers on the track. The golf was having a fair problem with a missfire for the whole of the day and just gave up trying to sort it and drove for the rest of the session, great fun though. Loved the 22B, I was on a cool down lap and he waved as I let him past, while he was going a little sideways!!! I was out in the Focus RS on a pax at the end of the day and unfortunately we went off, these things happen though, makes a very strong case for paying the extra for track insurance.
