  1. I always get told that my fella is brave to let me drive his car funny thing is its mine i just laugh.... Lol -twas chattering to a policeman few days after I got mine, mentioned to him that all the police cars I pass seem to check out whos driving my car, he agreed that they would, but would also ignore mine cos they would think I was driving b/f's car! Some good comes of it all! fine with me that coppers think this and leave me alone! He drove a 3.2, 16v vectra in the line of duty (shame bout the paint work) and a evo VIII for home use! Nice work if you can get it!
  2. Having read back through my posts I really do sound like I dont like my scoob very much! Not true - just want to say what a fantastic car, and what a load of nice folk on here! Thanks also to the ones who given me advice - you know who you are!
  3. http://www.thisischeshire.co.uk/cheshire/r...CORN_NEWS0.html Local rumour (unconfirmed) has it that the car the 306 was racing and driving dangerously to overtake was a scoob. I hope this isnt true, but if it is my heart goes out to the scooby driver, and to the victims of this needless reckless driving. Rest in peace.
  4. Too nice!
  5. What the hells a bus? and are they turbo'd?
  6. Three isnt the number for bad luck after all - rats bottoms! 4) watched a girl not bother to look before pulling out of a side street on me, luckily was doing only about 30 mph and had spotted her. Much squealing of tyres and brakes, but no contact, and she had the good grace to put her hand up to me. Took me about 20 mins and 3 ciggies to stop shaking though - 2 emergency stops in 2 days - yep Im cursed! surely the silly burgers can hear me coming even if they dont see me!
  7. Too true, and Im so impressed by people doing 90mph.............................................................. 45mins later!
  8. Yep they do have a scoob, was all niceness when I first got mine, told me how fab it was, but then the bitterness has set in and that combined with a damaged front splitter, they have turned! Im still getting used to the nastyness that can be directed at the poor old gorg scoobs!
  9. Wow! Ive got dogs havent I? []
  10. Hello mister?????????????????
  11. yep, maybe not even safe to get out of bed! but what if the large and heavy mirror above bed comes crashing down, or the bed its self collapses, or my pj's strangle me or the roof comes in - is anywhere safe? lol
  12. 1) driving home from work this morning, i was first at the lights at a light controlled round about (m62/ knowsley expressway), as always as lights turned green looked up and check oncoming traffic had stopped - well it hadnt, an articulated lorry with trailer carried on straight through reds with smoke pouring from rear trailer wheels, assume it was brakes locking! Poor bugger did manage to stop for next set of lights......... 2) popped over to visit the old folks, crazy old bird pedestrian stepped straight out infront of me, no time to check mirrors, lucky there was nothing behind me as i executed a perfect emergency stop and the old duck never even bothered to look at me! 3) giving it a little welly (and i mean a little - like 40 in 30) to keep revs up while going up hill, idiot pulled out of junction, that I know has a clear view, just ignoring me totally, braked hard, rear end slipped, but the gorgeous scoob got it back! luuuuuuuuurve! You will be glad to know ive locked car up safely for night now!
  13. mmmmmmmmmm could be? but I thought we had agreed I dont need to wave my willy in competition, ive got the car to say it all! Lol!Ill press it next time I feel the need!
  14. Is this the santapod japfest? doubt ill be able to go but made it to the castle coombe one, very good.
  15. The previous owner obviously wanted to keep it for bed time reading!
  16. I would have thought that the car said it all, and I didnt have to say anything, but some people just dont have enough love in there engines! (hearts!)
  17. Ta for taking the time to reply! will kepp pressing it on and off and trying to see if anything happens!
  18. This was kinda my thoughts, and to be honest I cant think of anything to do to the car really! thinks thats whats sparked the jealousy! Funny old world isnt it!
  19. Last night I was told that Im a lesser scooby owner (not from anyone here I hasten to add) because I havent done any work on my car. I personally think my cars pretty good as it is. I havent added to its perfection therefore Im not a real scoob owner apparently! any thoughts on this - not that I took it to heart, but did think it was rather nasty really.
  20. Tis an import. may be rear fog lights?
  21. Im trying not to rise to it, and yes tis fun to just let them scream off bouncing off the rev limiter and pistons leaping out through bonnet, then potter along happy in the knowledge that I dont have or need a willy to wave!
  22. Mmmmmmmmmm, nice! I want one!
  23. They are, so to speak! Lol! I know I should ignore them, or pull the "deep scorn, is that your gf's car?" face, but Im shocked by the extent of it, and just a little intimidated at times.
  24. Anyone know what this is? Between the button for the automatic water cooler spray, and the button for the spray, theres a button with a little red led, in a box type thing. It does on and off and I cant see anything happening, as the previous owner has the manual still, what is this? Pics to follow!
  25. Having only owned my scooby four weeks, Ive noticed that almost no one wants to leave me alone at the lights, everyone seems to want to take me on and show me what there car will do! I must say I find it a little unnerving at times. Is this eveyones experience? or is it cos Im a girl? The roads have turned from a place where I have fun to one where I encounter aggressiveness.
