  1. hey chaps, i'm about to ptu a set of MY99 4 pots on my MY98 wagon and am going to flush the fluid too while i change everything over. I like the idea of getting some decent 5.1 fluid in there too, but can't find any info on how much i'd need to buy to perform a complete flush. (haynes nor autodata are forthcoming with info). The 5.1 fluids from millers come in 500ml and 1l bottles, i was considering getting 1.5l. your opinions chaps?
  2. well - as per my post, the greenstuffs are the 96-98 type, with the sticky out ends, which my calipers don't fit, even though by the year of car they should. hmph!
  3. yes, mines an early 98 (i think), definitely doesnt have the 4 pots. but however, using the catalogue from EBC, mintex and buypartsby.com, the pads that fit seem to look more like the pre 96 pads, not the ones that are meant for 96-98 2 pot calipers. Mintex lists this as 01/1994 to 12/1995 model pads This for 01/1996 to 12/1997 models I seem to have pads that (i think) look like the former, from a car manufactured in the latter? Could this be a catalogue problem or have i picked up a hybrid car?
  4. With the MY98 scooby i bought recently, i got a set of spare front ebc greenstuff pads and front discs as they front brakes were on their way out. This week, i go to change them over and find that the pads i take out have two nodules (one on each end) as depressions, and the pads i've got to replace them have nodules that stick out on either side. Looking at the examples on mintex's website, it looks like i've got the brake setup from a 95 car, on my 98 car? The brake discs are also 277mm and i think they should be 295mm? It appears there's a setup for early models (which i seem to be braking with) a setup for 96-98 models (which i should have) and then the 4pots from MY99 onwards. Sound correct? I'm rather puzzled but shall be off to try and find pads that match tomorrow!
