  1. Hi Granby, if its from an STi 7 or 8 i would be interested. Cheers Ben
  2. Looking like mine wont be ready till next week Bit of machining required to fit the bearing shells!!
  3. Quick Update, Should fingers crossed get mine back next week ready for the running in process Good to see some high 300 figures being produced. As for the feel of the car, I am assuming the extra low and mid range torque is quite noticeable?? Cheers Ben
  4. Hi DaOne, I spoke to you on SN the other day. Should hopefully get mine back end of this week, early next. Ben
  5. Thanks Mate , Will check them out now.
  6. Anyone out there with experience of a 2.1 Stroker?
  7. Should be fun once I get it back , Like you I will need a bigger Turbo to make use of the engines capability.
  8. Yes it was. Hows your car going now, new Turbo fitted yet?
  9. Hi, Just thought I start this thread and include some feedback after the build. It all started when I lost a bearing on my standard V5 Sti engine running just over 300Bhp. I knew the standard internals were weak so decided it was time for a forged engine. After a bit of seaching I decided the way forward was build a 2.1 stroker engine. I posted in the wanted section on SN and luckily enough I was PM'ed later that day. I was able to buy the whole kit at a reasonable price which included a machined closed deck block. I dropped the car off at Xtreme scoobies and left them to build my new engine. Later the next week I received an Email from knowlesy stating that the block had been machined incorrecting and was useless. After contacting the SN member it was agreed that a refund was to be made ( a true honest genuine SN Member). So after I received my money back I took a visit to Mark @ lateral performance who sorted me out with a new block and all associated parts Xtreme scoobies should receive the new parts and block by Wednesday ready to complete the build. Once completed and run in, Paul @ Zen will begin the mapping. I will update this thread as progression is continues Out of interest if anyone has already had a 2.1 stroker conversion, how much difference does the 2.1 feel compared to the 2.0? Cheers Ben PS a couple of pics of my car.
  10. Finally decided that Im gonna go for Either 330mm 8-Pot D2 or K-Sport my question is which is better? Any views, let us know Ben
  11. Scoobybits do 2 sizes http://www.scoobybits.co.uk/shop_stylingexterior.htm
  12. Cheers, I'll give Godspeed a call
  13. So from what your saying is the 335mm Godspeed Kit is almost as good as the K sports you have. In that case I might aswell go for the Godspeeds and save 400 quid as there for road use only. Cheers for your advice
  14. I am tempted with the Godspeed Kit, I guess that the extra leverage in the 330mm disc gives the extra stopping power. Which K sport did you go with, 6pot or 8pot, and what is the cost of the Kit. Thanks Ben
  15. Cheers for the advice guys, I think that the 355mm will be a bit too much for the setup im going for, plus I only have 17's. I will go with uprated fluid and braied brake lines. Which dics and pads do you reccommend? Do calipers loose there power over time and if so would it be worth changing to the EBC caliper. Thanks Ben
  16. As I know many of you already have uprated brakes in many different forms, so I'm after a bit of advice. I currently have standard calipers and discs with EBC Yellow Stuff Pads. After a drive along the local country roads the brakes are shot, no bite at all no matter how hard you press the pedal. Currently not planning on doing any track days, however i would like to be able to stop well after a spirited drive. My questions are:- Would the large brake kits (330mm) be OTT for road use. If not what would you reccomend, K sport, Godspeed with standard calipers etc. If I keep the standard calipers what Discs and Pads should I use, recommendations of disc and pad combinations would be great I've seen that EBC are selling new 4 Pot Calipers are these worth while. How much difference does the make of brake fluid make and should I use Dot 4 or 5.1 Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure I don't waste money and buy the correct brakes first time. Cheers Ben
  17. Sorry to Hi-jack the post but I can't find the link on Scooby Net. Anyone point me in the right direction. Cheers Ben
