  2. Should have asked, what size are the Toyos? Are you increasing hte rolling radius or reducing the profile? What has it done to the ride, which always surprises me by being fairly compliant and I wouldn't want to compromise the handling. Pete
  3. They are RE011s, the fronts are gubbed. The backs are lasting OK now as I look though. Thanks again...
  4. Nice. And a bit more reasonable.... They lasting OK? no flaking or anything? How do you rate the Toyos? Thanks for the replies.
  5. Hi, I've been lurking for a while but not really had time to post until now - I've had my MY03 53 plate WRX PPP for about 5 months, it's silver with very scruffy wheels and no tread (how long should the tires last? 8k good or bad for a set of Bridgestones). So I was hoping for a bit of advice - despite having promised myself that I wouldn't be tempted by the upgrade path when I bought it I can't help thinking how much better it would look with some new 18 inch wheels. And as I need new tyres anyway.... I mean it would almost be rude not to. Now obviously when I say new I mean new to me - what I really want is a set of 18 inch secondhand P1 style wheels with tyres so I can justify it my wife - is there anything to look out for - ie do all wheels fit all cars or do I have to buy wheels sepcifically for a '03 onwards car? Subaru want 400 notes for these http://www.subaru.co.uk/IMGGB/WWW/Subaru_A...33?Opendocument which I thought was almost reasonable until I realised that was each. 1600 quid. For wheels. I've bought whole cars that cost less than that.]" src="/emoticons/emotion-2.gif"> Any suggestions would be ace, also any idea how, if i do buy some, how I stop the almost magnetic attraction my wife seems to have developed for kerbs. pete
