  1. Being on both sites I would say the difference is sidc is a drivers club not so much how much bhp have you got , .net though seems to be how much bhp you have and not can you drive it ,having said that its a busy site with busy meets with a mixed group of people. As with all sites .net can have its bitching and of late it been quiet bad with a good few leaving . Hopefully sidc can get back to its old days and have me clinging to the back of the "family group" on a run
  2. Really sorry to hear this.Met a few times at meets back in the day and left a big impression on me.Very genuine guy with no fear of tackling jobs himself . A sad loss of life
  3. Good start to this ,set of coilovers and some Rotas and it will look superb. I was looking at getting the diesel but I've heard of and seen a few problems with them.It will be interesting to see how far you can push yours with the dpf and map done. Ill stick with the 18ish mpg of my fozzy for a year or so until the prices come down for the diesel models. Keep up the good work
  4. Had various scoobs done by him and all first class.Really helpful genuine guy and a price you cant beat.Customer support also second to none to tweek when needed.
  5. Far too quiet for me with a full miltek system with sport cat When fund allow that will change.
  6. Fitted Prodrive mudflaps yesterday along with carbon mirrors just to be different. The view out of them is limited to say the least but i think they compliment the wheels
  7. AHH i see.Hello again.I have a newborn now so have to behave for a little while hence the regretful sale of my bug.Have to amuse myself with the wagon for a year or two.
  8. Forgot to say ,the wife also has a scoob albeit not as fancy as some. Its the work family work horse and tow car Currently running td04,440cc injectors, walbro 255,full decat inc up pipe and custom stainless system, whiteline rollbars and links, padgid fast road discs and pads and wrx wheels.Currently running 211@wheels last time out, so about 270ish bhp @flywheel? I know its a bogging colour but it was well looked after and i knew the previous owner. My apologies for showing the caravan
  9. The exhaust in question was stupidly loud but not in a bad way lol,It sadly rotted at the rear of the box and started to bend through lack of strength at the hanger so a full prodrive system replaced it I hope to find a good welder to let me refit the box to my hawkeye one day

  11. Its not quick to be honest.I thought with alot more torque it would have blown my bug away but definately not.Iknow my bug had about 350bhp but given that this one is rolling roaded at 323bhp i wonder if my bug was more powerful than i thought.Enough to blow my gearbox to pieces Ive just put a set of toyo proxes on today and some roger clark carbon mirrors to start off with.Next a harder map with racerom and a louder exhaust for the ned in me
  12. The bug wasnt bad either...apart from the scoop
  13. Cheers Paul.Maybe catch you at a meet soon so i can check out your lovely saloon
  14. After a long journey with my bugeye it was time to say goodbye as i now have a newborn to deal with and i didnt think it was the best car for that with stiff suspension and a load exhaust. I resigned myself to the fact that i was going to have to keep the Mrs happy aswell if i was to get another scoob so it had to be a wagon. After a long time looking i found a well kept example with alot of toys included without being too boy racer Its a 2.5 wrx looked after by a main dealer and Powerstation.Currently at 323bhp and had the full whiteline set up inc anti-dive,anti-lift,front and rear roll bars, links, bushes etc.It also has the Powerstation Porsche 360mm brake upgrade which ive never seen before.Anyway i like it although it does seem very tame and civilised at the moment. And a few of the old girl
  15. I just did mine this week.Bought an exeddy stage 1 which costs about £300+ then you have fitting(probably 4-5 hours) and skiming of the flywheel(a must as i didnt against everyones advice as it looked mint and it judders).Andy at RA will see you right.
  16. Not much unless the suns out and its a dark colour.Battery acid, now thats more fun but it could get ugly so best do nothing the now lol
  17. Well done Gordon. Its been a while lol .I hope you didnt give it away because it was a lovely example, just wished my finances were better and id have bought it months ago.All the best.
  18. Ive had the same issue with my 2002 wrx.Did it from standard(now decatted, exhaust, andy f remap, prodrive y pipe, new plugs, new coil packs, new afr,new maf,new walbro pump, new fuel filter) and it still does it!!!! It drives me insane and its cost me ££££ trying to fix it but as you say with no fault code its difficult.
  19. Ive a Blitz nur spec r and it was noisy but very boomy with all cats in place and required no remap in my case(02 bugeye wrx)but when i decatted it the noise was mega loud.Great for 5mins but drives me insane.Got a custom bung now so i dont have to change it
  20. Cheers Jock.Needs so much done to it to make it mine that i wonder if i should just sell her and start with something already modded. Spent ££££'s on the last car which eats the scoob for breakfast and is sitting on my drive doing nothing unable to sell With 60k on the scoob and just been mapped by Mr Forest it will probably sell better than my octavia vrs wrc.
  21. Hi guys,Im looking to get my wheels done gold(i know its done to death)as ive had black wheels on all of my recent cars and im getting bored of them.Im rubbish at photoshop and would like your opinion on it good or bad.I know it needs lowered but its been a money pit already and its not even running properly yet cheers
  22. Well i went to RA motorsport today for a diag on the car and it turns out after many test that the AFR sensor is buggered sending a super lean fuel signal to the ecu causing the car to knock under load and retard the timing.Ordered one today from subaru....HOW EXPENSIVE!!!! Its just a glorified lambda sensor Anyway its coming tomorrow so hopefully it will run nice then
