About Sheriff563

  1. Thanks for all the advice it has definately helped. Im going down to borrow it for a day next week to have a play with it. I imagine that once Ive had a go there will be no going back. Maybe I could get a Volvo shaped cover to put over it while I was towing just to save face. I imagine with the van being towed it would still have better speed and handling than the average Volvo lol...
  2. I know this is sad but it happens, one day you are looking at holidays and they are so expensive with kids dog etc, then you look at how much it is to go away if you owned a caravan and yes you are your dad. Next thing you know you are the prowd owner of a caravan and well, you have to be practical and sensible. However you are still 25 inside your head and when the kids are at school and you have the day off you yern to hit the lanes and have a good blat. I have been offered a Scooby WRX auto estate at a good price off of a mate and I have allways wanted one but I now have to live with my life choices and so still need to tow this caravan. Everything else is good, I can get the dogs and kids in and it can be the performance car I've always wanted but I am worried that towing a caravan with it, will damage the turbo? Also I know they have weak cluches but this is an auto so how do you think that would fair? Can anyone advise me, is anyone brave enough to admit that they also have a caravan and tow it with their scooby? I am prepaired for the abuse I am opening myself up to so feel free to post.
