Maybe i might be-able to catch a phesant some time.(Provided it doesnt destroy my Rad, and front bumper at the same time!
Scoobtastic Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 Tiny from the CI's catches Bats in his ic scoop........lol
jon_genge Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 Found what was left of a bird in the main bumper hole once but even with an sti8 scoop i've not caught bigger than a couple of wasps!! Hate to say it mate, but when we did an R/R day at Powerstation ages ago they advised against the I/C guards - they said if you were to bunch all the mesh bits together you would probably lose about 25% of the surface area of the I/C!!

Proven to reduce inlet temps by 2 to 3 degrees [:|] Ideal for winter use. But my mesh is acctuly quite far apart it isnt fine mesh tbh so i think it shouldent be to bad. Never know unless i got a heat gun or sensor fitted ect!

monkip1 Posted June 12, 2007 Author Posted June 12, 2007 But what would you rather have, a fooked intercool,er with damages bent fins or loose a little bit of power?
kevlorn Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 i'd personaly save the car, but then alot of peeps would rather have that bit more power..but the amount of cameras out there these days you have to be so carefull not to get caught, i have slowed down alot in the last twelve months or so.i know a goood dozen people who have been caught by the white van man(safety cameras).....so i'd definetly not worry to much about loosing a bit of bhp..

And being honest you can loose extra heat buy fitting manifold spacers, and also header tank spacers to keep the hot componants away from each other, Heat wrap the headers and turbo ect, save and reduce alot of heat. But thats just the way i think. lol
