kaan_ors Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Took my car to Walldonway today for anual service and they advised me to buy 4 new tyres so I have been looking around on some old posts and see that most people recommend Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 or Toyo Proxes T1-S. I currently have Bridgestone REO11's (215/45/17/87W) which are fine but it appears that the others are better. I found that someone (msiviter) had posted: I've gone for the Eagle GSD3 ---------------------------------Blackcircles------ K&P Ewell (Nr Epsom) Bridgestone RE040---------- £109----------------£94 Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3-----112-----------------89 Toyo Proxes T1-S---------------117-----------------78 but this was about a year and a half ago so perhaps the prices have gone up since then. Does anybody have a website address for K&P Tyres Ewell? By the way, if anyone is interested Walldonway have an RB320 demonstrator!! [au]. I was tempted to have a go in it but felt too embarrased to ask as I couldn't possibly afford one (yet!). Help with tyres is appreciated.
baser999 Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Have you tried Elite Tyres in Dagenham / Rainham.........you get a tunnel run then thrown in for nothing (well ok then a quid!)
kaan_ors Posted June 6, 2007 Author Posted June 6, 2007 Sounds like a good idea, it's just not as much fun on your own. I'll look them up to see if they have a website. Any comments of which tyres to invest in?
granby Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 http://www.elitedirect.com I'd go for Goodyear F1's, give Barry a call on 01708527220 and mention the SIDC and he should be able to do a deal for you [Y]
vickyk Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 We brought our Toyos Proxys through Blackcircles about september time and we only paid just under 100 per tyre including fitting/balancing. They were really good to deal with as well and they let you choose the most convenient fitting centre local to you.[Y]
prodrive tony Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Watling Tyres in Dartford will beat any quote I'm sure.
daniel Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 I've got toyo tyres from wheel base £300 but not fitted and balanced
