Bailey73 Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Im looking to buy an induction kit but cannot decide which one, any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Darren
scooby princess Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 which model do you have? I have heard that with some classics, induction kits can blow the maf sensor so be aware of this but i believe its on certain models and years
monkip1 Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 I know Maf's are on all very late classics, around MY00 onwards. As SP said, Check with your dealer or professional car tuner like RCM, or Bob Rawle and you be-able to get a very good answer. I know Green stuff or the replacement STI panel filter are pritty good with out upsetting the Maf as much. Hope this helps. Monki.
monkip1 Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Hey Bailey, Im pritty certain it would still have a maf sensor. It be directly after the air box, and would have a loom going to what looks like a diamond shape plug, effixed buy two security torce screws. (Star head with a middle bit) If you remind me tonight ill post a pic up of where my Maf is located, and also a pic of what my spare looks like. Monki.
jd Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 APS but will need the maf rescaled and remapped to suit, got one for sale.
kevlorn Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 some people say its better just to replace the panel filter with a green one, but i'm no expert
