My P1 was killed by a Corsa.

Was involved in a head on collision with a Corsa Tuesday lunchtime. On the road from Glen Village (Hallglen) to The Three Kings (Shieldhill). Approaching the "S" bend and was struck head on by the Corsa. She was completely on my side of the road and we both had no time to avoid each other. The car is almost certainly written off as the roof has crumpled just past the B-pillars. Sadly I shall not be replacing it with another one, despite enjoying every second of ownership, except the ones that cost money that is.

Both myself and the other driver escaped un-injured with only minor burns from the Air-bag going off and bruising from the seatbelts.

Can only offer my commiserations Shaun, that is indeed a sad,sad sight.I can only guess how gutted you'll be feeling at this moment.

I'm also a bit surprised at how much damage your P1 has taken. Mind you hitting a corsa driven by a female hippo must have been like

hitting a brick wall !.

You live to tell the tale and at the end of the day, that's all that really matters.

Shaun its a sad day when a corsa kills a scooby never mind a mint P1 but main thing is you both got out un hurt!!!  oh how did that hippo get in to a corsa anyway she would need a xxxxl seat belt and wide load stickers on her ass and car!!!, hope you get all stuff sorted out with insurance and buy another scoob!!

Gutted for ya mate, looks like a minter has been ruined by a stupid cow on 4 wheels.

Glad you held in the frustration of laying the smack down on her fat a s s![:@]

Well, accidents are never a nice thing to see or have but providing everyone is fine and uninjured, then let insurance deal with the lumps of metal.

As for the "hippo" and other unnecessary derogatory comments, it looks to me like that female is pregnant rather than having eaten to excess, so irrespective of who is to blame, all concerned have had a shock and will have learned from it. The unborn child is what i'd be worrying about after an accident like that.

It must be nice to know that you feel you are all perfect

Thanks very much for the kind words, some even brought a chuckle to my bruised torso. ha ha

She was not pregnant, otherwise it would've been an ambulance job for her, but she just trundled home with her pal.

As much as I'm upset that the car's totalled, I'm ok, she was ok and as many say cars can be replaced, lives can't.

Although I'll say this - Airbags are nasty. I never made contact with it, but the burns on my arms are killing me and just after the accident, the inside of that car with the 2 deployed airbags was a horrible place to be. The heat generated from them is undescribeable and the smell, well, you can't breathe. I really don't want to be in that situation again.

Thanks again guys, I'll keep you posted on how things go with the insurance company.

Shaun.
