J0nah Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Before Rasher gets stuck into my paintwork when he gets back off his trolleys, DJSCOOBZ kindly offered to show me what a little buffing can do. Must admit, we didn't have much time so it was a speedy job, but good results non the less. Just can't wait for it to get the S202 treatment now. Cheers DJ. here's the ugly get
andrew_greenhalgh Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 nice one andy those pics came out well.........apart from one........the reflctions are superb a little more work needed but it will get there, nonetheless some spot on polishing
rasher Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 what did you use Andy?? Did you check the paint with a PTG??
Diablo Blaze Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Looks pretty shiny to me mate, the Scoobster has done a good job. There's a few other faces I would rather see in the reflection though.

andrew_greenhalgh Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 what did you use Andy?? Did you check the paint with a PTG??used a very fine anti swirl polish, put on to the bodywork with a lint free cloth, then applied with a polisher using a waffle sponge attached so as not to create any heat.
rasher Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 I just wondered how much of the clear coat was removed mate, that's all[] used a very fine anti swirl polish which one mate??
J0nah Posted May 23, 2007 Author Posted May 23, 2007 Looking good boys [Y] looks good in the photies but DJSCOOBZ will vouch that on close inspection the car is riddled with stone chips and dints, but we have made a start on the annoying swirls. Still there but not as severe.
J0nah Posted May 23, 2007 Author Posted May 23, 2007 I just wondered how much of the clear coat was removed mate, that's all[] used a very fine anti swirl polish which one mate?? Think it was made by Wurth Nige, but I could be wrong.
andrew_greenhalgh Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 i think probably less than 1 micron mate as andy said the swirls are still there, but only visible if you look close up, i used wurth anti swirl polish designed for bodyshop use
andrew_greenhalgh Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 what numbers mate do you mean rating or part number ?
Diablo Blaze Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 did it have any numbers on it Andy??? Bloody geek nige [8-|]. Why do you think car washes were invented. [:S]

andrew_greenhalgh Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 severity /grade of the polish used. ie G3 for exampleit says on the container "anti swirl polish pro" ultra fine cut, suitable for permanent removal of swirl marks and bloom on paints. The extremely fine particle size guarantees reliable removal of extremely small areas of uneveness in paint and microsratches. i used to sell loads of this anti swirl to bodyshops etc when i worked for wurth.
