Alan 423 Posted May 20, 2007 Author Posted May 20, 2007 kool, just looking for some rough prices bud.. where are awd?
diffbuster Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 your looking at around 2800-3000 for a 2.5 from greers or a couple of other places in the central belt.most think thats the most economical route but you could build a strong 2.0 for not much diference theres plenty of choices good luck.
Alan 423 Posted May 20, 2007 Author Posted May 20, 2007 yeah ive been thinkin about the 2.5 conversion too mate, for 2800-3000 then i guess i would still have to buy a box and clutch?? think it would soon chew up the standard one...
higgy Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 How soon are you needing the shortblock?? Mines will be avalable in November. Higgy
Alan 423 Posted May 20, 2007 Author Posted May 20, 2007 Kind of needing it yesterday mate..lol are you running a short block in a classic? if so do you have to change the gearbox? Alan
scoob fae ork Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 AWD are based in perth http://www.awdmotorsport.co.uk/ my cousin wont even tell me what it cost if you give this boys a shout they will be more than happy to help.
Alan 423 Posted May 20, 2007 Author Posted May 20, 2007 Kool, thanks alot bud il check them out.. cheers
diffbuster Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 You wont need to change anything if you swap engines they are all a straight swap 2.0 or 2.5 are all interchangeable if you are trying to do it the cheapest route talk to an engine builder it is possible to rebore and swap cranks depending what you need.
higgy Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Try speaking to Steave Whitson on 0785 222 6236 and he will build yo uwatever you want. There are a few people in the club that have used him before . Higgy
