MY NEW TOY..... NEARLY FINSHED!

As a few of you know I sold my new age car last August.[:'(] In September it was time to find a cheaper replacement and give the show 'n shine comps up.[:P] I found this '97 wrx import on pistonheads offered the guy a deal over the phone subject too seeing it.[:D]Markie took me down to see the car in the dark one evening, an hour or so later I was driving it home.[Y]On a closer inspection in the daylight the paintwork was crap in places and that's being polite[:@].Up until the begining of April the car had seen probably 3 washes.[:$]

Summer was on it's way so I decided to get my finger out and getting it looking half decent for the summer months.[;)]

The wheels were in need of a refurb so they went off to Lepsons in Gillingham I decided to go for white as they originally available in that colour and I was fed up with gold.I replaced the indicator lenses with a set of crystal items.  A pair of crystal fog lamps were also fitted to match the rest. I removed the STI 8 scoop as I personally think it doesn't suit the classic.I bought a Jun front lip spoiler which along with the side skirts and rear Tomi Kaira bumper were sent to be colour code where I work.Whilst these were away I  decided to clean and re paint under the arches including the suspension and brake components.[H]

The engine bay was degeased, tbh it wasn't too bad as it had only just had a brand new engine fitted by Barretts motorsport just before I bought it.

The car was stripped of some trim parts so I was able to rejuvinate the paintwork which was in a sorry state. This was completed in a day although I'm still  working on the final finish.

I've added a few pictures to show you the before and after ! [Y]

Dean are they new wheels or are they re sprayed

had them refurbished, they were only about 3 months old when i got the car but they were all curbed due to the tyres being too narrow so i replaced them too [;)]

They look great, only trouble with white rims is that you have to constantly clean them, i had white rims on our Mini Cooper and were a bugger to keep nice and clean lol [H]

Somehow i don't think that will be a problem for Dean [;)]

Stunning job Dean [H] Paintwork looks fine in the before shots until you see the after ones. Looks like a totally different colour.

And the smaller scoop looks much better as well [Y]

Wow, that looks absolutely amazing. When I see what some members achieve with their cars it makes me wish I had the courage and know how to do a few things to mine. Again, looks great.
